I am almost sure Kamagate will be on the roster next year, he is very important as 3rd Center

On the other hand, I can see Nnaji being traded very early. He is making 4,3M$ this season and we dont have any money to extend him. Being so close to the second apron, it makes sense to free the 4M$ and have more flexibility to configure the roster.

I like him as a player and think he has some upside, but after 3 years he has shown very little and not being able to extend him makes very difficult to give him playing time this season.

More trades, Nuggets move the 2024 1st they got from OKC along with pick #40 to move up for 2023 #29 and #32

This draft is getting more interesting for the 2023 Champs.

Pick they traded is least favorable, so It will be Denver's 24 around 26-30.

Great trade once again from Booth. 29 & 32 for 26-30 & 40 one year earlier to develop the player faster

I don't think they pick 3 players, although maybe one is a stash (Vukcevic)

I think Booth's not finished yet. He will pile some of the picks and add Nnaji to draft higher.

If they stay put and use all the 3 picks, would love if they drafted both Andre Jackson Jr. and Jordan Walsh.
Dream draft for me would be Brandin Podziemski at 29 (probably won't be available), Jackson at 32 and Walsh at 37.

As I predicted, the main focus to jump into the 2023 1st round from nowhere for our FO will be on the Rockets and Pacers. Unfortunately, we do not take Pacers #26, but their #32 can be counted as late first! I would spend that #32 on some long-shot future project like we already did in the near past with 30+ picks like Bol, JV, M.Morris, or Watson. #29 pick I would trade for an early '20s pick using Nnaji and/or #37. That early '20s should be used for the ready-now player (2025 in Malone's case) as we do with Hyland and Braun (from early '20s picks both). The target I see for that last move is HOU#20, BKN#22, and POR#23.

FYI: the Denver pick was not added into the acquired pick from OKC. Indy is taking the pick from okc as is, and Denver keeps their own first in 2024.

That is actually potentially very bad news because I clearly can see Denver with NBA TOP3 regular season record again, while Clippers' case (in reality that OKC pick is actually LAC2024) which is deeply connected with Kawhi and George's health status can drop again significantly and has arguably much bigger value. The Clippers' 2023 pick is #20 owned by Houston which is focused on their own #4 pick anyway, so I would offer Houston for that #20 our's #29 + Nnaji + #37 without too much thinking, especially if our FO targeted some notable draft steal potentially available at #20.

Yeah, I imagine not including the Denver first in the “worst of” selection for next year is likely why Denver got to move up from 40 to 32 this year, though.

Don't underestimate the OKC pick, could easily get into the low-mid 20's IMO. They'll be getting Chet back, have SGA, Giddy, Williams, Poku and a decent pick this year.

Yeah, I think they should be a decent team next year and we could see a lot of the older teams start to fall off.

In the first round at #29, the Nuggets take Julian Strawther, a 6'6" shooting guard, considered a 3 and D guard. Played at Gonzaga.

Nuggets fooled me again as I thought KCP might be around after next season but this pick says otherwise.

SF Julian Strawther , seems we needed scoring off the bench, thought we'd pick James Nnaji who went to DET with the 1st pick in the 2nd round. Then we select PG Jalen Pickett, a play-making G from Penn St. Final pick at 37 is F Hunter Tyson

WOW, didn't see that (any of that) coming, but I'll give Booth the benefit of MY doubt.

21, 23, and 23 year old are obviously taken to contribute as soon as possible. It worked well with Monte Morris. All three are older than Peyton Watson, and two even older than Nnaji (or RJ Hampton) which we drafted back in 2020 (and even older than 1999 born Bol Bol from the 2019 draft).

2 wings and a point guard. Backup point was a need but more outside shooting prospects? I guess you can't ever have enough.

Three old players with size. I read good reviews about Pickett, let's wait and see during Summer League.

No Centers drafted, It is clear Kamagate will be in the roster next season

I'm OK with the first two pick but the Hunter Tyson pick baffles me, I'd have taken Mouhamed Gueye or GG Jackson before looking Tyson's way....hope I am wrong on this one

This draft definitely leads me to believe Karmagate IS coming over this year, last year's workload on Joker is not a good thing to sustain him for a few more title runs.

I also wonder whether this draft reveals the confidence they have in Nnaji, guess we'll see that revealed in FA. I'd bet they try to see what he has in SL
