I like the Astros young nucleus, and it's hard to pick against Arrieta. Both games should be highly entertaining.

Dodger-Met start times are 6:45 and 6:07 pacific time for the games at Chavez.

There was considerable conversation about "getting Kershaw and Greinke in the shadows."
Shouldn't be much of a problem given those start times.

Dodgers still have not named their Game 1 starter or their rotation for that matter.
Possible discussion in the org about making Greinke the Game 1 starter?
Implications being Game 1 starter gets Game 4 on 3 days rest and Game 2 starter gets Game 5 on normal rest.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Yankees rally around the CC news and rip off a few victories here.

Yeah, so... Rant time:

That game was the perfect culmination of the Yankees' decline over the last 5 years. The fact that they even made the "postseason" over the Angels or Twins was a slight to fans of the game, because both of those teams would've actually put up a fight.

Honestly, I knew going in that they would struggle. The fact that Girardi thought about benching all of Gardner/McCann/Ellsbury was a white flag even before the first pitch; besides the fact that Dallas Kuechel never allowed a run against us to begin with. The timing of CC's news over the weekend was just another can of kerosene on the dumpster fire that is this team.

The entire last two months of the season was a scramble because Brian Cashman has no grasp on the reality of the condition of this club. Staying mum at the deadline while the Jays acquired all of the talent they possibly could was mind-boggling, especially since the Yankees can stay healthy for about as long as an entire played-out rendition of God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch.

There are a couple of bright spots, though. Severino, Bird, Refsnyder, Betances, and Headley (yes, I know he's older) look to be the only stable bunch on the squad. The rest of the team, coaching staff included, seems to be burnt out and baffled by every other pitch thrown to them. Cashman is under contract through 2017, so we're assured that in the next 30 months, he'll attempt to throw an insane amount of money at David Price, probably Zack Greinke, and will try his best to lure Bryce Harper to the Bronx.

If I'm any high level free agent in the next two-ish years, I'm staying very far away from this franchise.

Can't see Greinke in NY.
He's said so and Cashman has said so.

No use in not trying I guess. He's worth it.
