Raiders might want to do something abut their defense. They've stunk for years in that department. Not that I have ever been a fan of Derick Carr, but his nine years in Oakland, the Raider defense gave up over 26 points a game. Talk about a nine year hill to climb week in and week out.

I put together a mock draft and tweet it out every year, mainly just for fun, but dang, this feels like a year I'll have almost no picks right, feels like a complete mystery what about to go down
Just 8* years ago Andrea Bargnani was my franchise player, you MF'ers can't rain on my parade

Calling it now, Vikings trade up and get one of Levis or Richardson.

Have Cousins for 1 more year then he is gone. It is well known the Vikings and him are parting ways after next year.

No, but there has been a lot of smoke that Minny is looking for a QB this year.

I think the rumor, or maybe more than a rumor, is that Cousins wanted to sign an extension at somewhat of a discounted price and the Vikings shot him down.

I've heard rumors of y'all liking Hooker in the late 1st.

How much longer do you want to go without a QB? Been telling you for many years that Cousins isn't the guy. Problem is imho there are no really good QB's in this draft. You guys can make a play for Lamar Jackson however.

i suppose its fair that every coach/gm wants to try and make it work with their own guy

i'm a vikings fan bjj! our default setting is to not have a big time quarterback. outside of a few years of culpepper and the one favre year cousins is probably our best qb since i became a fan in 2000 - and he's like barely above average

i mean look at this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Minnesota_Vikings_starting_quarterbacks#Regular_season

what i worry about with moving on from cousins is getting back on the qb purgatory carousel (i know i'm currently stuck in kirk cousins purgatory, but i think its a stockholm situation - send help)

Oh Im with you. Cousins has become a cozy blanket for us Vikings fans haha. He is easy to pick holes in, but damn dont want to let him go and go back out into the real world haha. But I get it from the front office perspective. Kirk is going to be 35 this year and they're probably done kicking his dead cap back a year every offseason. And they probably want to go out and get their own guy.

Haha but ya no doubt, if they swing and miss on a QB. Im going to be missing the Cousins days real quick haha.

The two big things for me is that he's going to be 35, and in his 5 seasons as QB it's been mediocrity to high mediocrity. No real Super Bowl contenders. We're kind of stuck in a rut.
If I was Vikings management I don't think I would be over anxious to get my own guy though. Once you get your own guy, you lose that excuse. Right now you can blame Kirk Cousins and it's not your fault, but once you get your own guy his failures are your failures.
