33 points on 33 attempts, Cade? Great shades of Stackhouse!

I enjoyed stack. Were you mad or upset when he was traded for rip?

easily the highest of his career, previous was 27.
at first i was like, "woah that's a lot" but then i looked at the box score and saw ivey and duren still got their looks so i'd rather cade take those shots than g-league guys. efficiency could've been better (11/28 from inside the arc) for sure but it is what it is!

Cade and Duren looking good out there with nice chemistry between the two. I think those guys along with Ausar are probably "safe" and everyone else should be up for grabs in trades over the summer. Ivey + our pick for a big upgrade at guard or forward? Sign me up.

For the love of god, please trade Isiah Stewart.

Stewart probably has neutral to slight positive trade value with his contract. He's a good backup or fringe starter but is slightly overpaid for what he brings. He probably nets a late first or a better (but older) vet in a trade.

Rodney White broke the news to me and a friend (Stack being traded for Rip). Never liked Stack and was a big Rip fan, after another friend went to see MJ's first pre-season game (Lebron's 1st pre-season game was against us, too, I believe) and couldn't stop noticing Rip, who scored about 40.
We just signed Metu to a 2-yr deal.. That guy has no conscience shooting, even if he can only hit the backboard at times. Always has an angry face.
They announced the next game on TV20. I don't even have a channel 20, and the automatic DVR didn't pick it up.

I’d be fine with Stew if we weren’t so insistent on starting him.
Metu getting a 2 year is a head scratcher.

The Pistons signed Metu to a rest of season contract that includes a team option for 2024-25, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Metu will stay with Detroit for the remainder of the season after completing a 10-day contract with the team.

Metu has been extremely underwhelming.

I was a big fan of Stack! But especially the year he scored ~30 ppg, he wasn't exactly that most efficient.

I remember Stack going 3-18 in Game 5 of the 1st round against the Raptors. Ball-hog, bad defense, not the best attitude, but luckily Corliss saved us.. Then in the 2nd round, in the clinching game, he shot 3-18.. He was shooting 39% during the regular season, too.
It's at moment like these I wish Dumars stuck around. He made a few horrible moves, but others made many more horrible moves without making some great movies, and any GM to bring a title should be credited, because some screw it up.

Small correction, Stackhouse shot 1-10 (5 points) in that game 5 against the Vince Carter-less Raptors with our season on the line. He was absolutely horrid that entire 2002 playoff run.

I bet that is for the minimum salary, thus he will get some burn to see if he is worthy keeping around for another year at minimum salary? Not bad.

Oh yeah.. Thanks for the correction.. I remember being at Game 5, and old Hakeem was playing, too
I know he went 3-18 in the game that ended our season in the series against Boston. I just looked it up, and it's crazy how one remembers that. But he took responsibility! (still annoying when Monty does it, although he seems cynical)
I just checked his stats in that 2002 playoffs... Only 1 game where he didn't shoot under 50%

He was great at getting to the line and that helped his overall efficiency. I always liked Stack. Obviously a good trade, but I'll never bash the guy over his time here. He, along with guys like Uncle Spliffy will remain fond in my memory. Key contributors during our journey and I loved those early 00's squads.

I was a big fan of Cliff Robinson, who was in his mid-30s in Detroit, played good defense, never complained, sad to see him and the entire Portland Trailblazer front-line pass away (Duckworth, Kersey, Cliff).. Drazen Petrovic is another one who passed away from that 90 team to go to The Finals..

Dumars should be credited for what he did in the past. 100 percent.
But those days of solid moves were LONG gone by the time he left. Moving on from him was a necessary step. Gores just never brought in the right people afterwards.
Let’s not let nostalgia cloud our judgement here.
My general feeling on Stack is that he was a transitional piece for us. We weren’t winning a title with him as our starting shooting guard.
