Kid is playing phenomenal lately. His HR last night was a BOMB! This kid can definitely become All-Star material.

If he doesn't try to swing for the fences at each at bat and just uses his natural ability he will be an awesome player. But sometimes he tries too hard. But I guess that is the case for most young players. His defense has really shored up too. The kid is a great young player.

Weeks shouldn't be at the top of the friken order. he has 30+ HR potential and he is suited for a 3rd or 4th role. The person we should have in our lineup and hitting leadoff is Tony Gwynn Jr. IMO we should move bill hall to 3rd Base, and get Gwynn some more playing time. Rickie is a power threat and a contact threat that is suited farther down in the lineup.

I agree, Weeks isn't a leadoff hitter. Gwynn is but there is no place for him in the lineup right now.

Whoever worked on defense with Ricky (Sveum?) needs to immediately move in with Braun and become his bestest buddy.

I thought he held back a fair amount last year, hence the lack of power numbers. His two homers this year haven't been cheapies either. If he can pick his spots he should be able to hit for power without sacrificing his on-base that much.

He improved a lot during the season last year in terms of fielding, hopefully it continues. I think he had about a month errorless streak right before he got injured.

I agree that eventually Rickie will hit 3rd with Prince hitting cleanup and Corey in the 5 spot.

The ball is just popping off his bat just like 2 years ago. That's why I got so high on him when he first came up. I had never seen a ball just fly off the bat so fast. I hope his wrist injuries are behind him and he will become an elite 2nd baseman for years to come.

His minor league manager said Weeks would hit more HR's in the majors than Prince.

The problem with Braun is his throwing, his glove is fine.

I still hope the Ricky Henderson comparisons come true for Rickie.

If Hall keeps playing in center the way he has been lately, the experiment needs to end, and you need to put Gwynn out there with Hall at 3rd. He was downright awful the past two series in center.

I will give him till mid May and if he is still making stupid mistakes like he is doing now something needs to be done. Try putting Corey Hart at center?

It takes time to adjust. When Yount moved to the outfield he had 8 errors in 108 games. The next year he had 1 error in 131 games.

I'll give Hall some time.

Weeks shouldn't be at the top of the friken order.

Why not?The far and away No.1 job of the leadoff hitter should be to get on base and Weeks does a pretty good job at that along with the benefit of having speed.I'm plenty fine with Weeks leading off,i see no option that's nearly as appealing.

The person we should have in our lineup and hitting leadoff is Tony Gwynn Jr.

No way.I have almost no confidence that Gwynn is ready yet to get on base as much as Weeks and i suspect he'd get on base less by a pretty sizable margin.Mix in that he has zero power,i'd easily play Gross over Gwynn if i had to play one of them.Out of nearly all the position players on the roster,i'd only be glad to see Gwynn with regular at bats over Craig Counsell.

The leadoff hitter gets more at bats than anyone on the team,Weeks getting to bat alot is a positive for the Brewers,Gwynn getting the most at bats wouldn't be a positive. He's an 8 slot hitter right now.

I think if the future of the team rests on any one player more than another, that player is Weeks. If he becomes above average in the field and hits 25-35 hr's a season, he is the best 2b in the league, and a luxury that very few teams have in their middle infield.
