7 OTs and no Ricky Wagner??

and I know I shouldn't complain considering you have us picking 32nd, but Desmond Trufant looked like nothing special this year.

Wagner was the last guy cut from the list. It is early and he could easily rise over some of the more speculative OT's.

I think the Panthers would love Mathieu at #14.

It depends which Landry Jones shows up. If Ryan Tannehill and Christian Ponder were mid-first round picks, then Jones surely has a good shot at going in the first round.

Sadly I agree with that.
Interesting list. I haven't takent enough time yet on '13 guys other than the ones that were rumored to come out in '12. Trying to spend at least an hour a day getting a jumpstart and this might be the kick in the pants to do it.

I'll throw this out though--my #1 pick will be Logan Thomas to Tampa Bay.

Tampa should be MUCH improved this year. Filled a lot of their holes from last year and added some vets. I think Tampa is a borderline playoff team this year.

Can the Browns justify spending another first round pick on a quarterback that soon?

David Amerson on these mock drafts just shows how early in the process we all are. Dude is not a shutdown CB by any means; he only racked up so many picks (as a sophomore!) last season because ACC QBs threw it right at him. A team with a good QB (Logan Thomas) will challenge his coverage skills early and often next year.

Conversely, the hype for UCLA TE Joseph Fauria will be interesting to watch: 6-7, built like a truck and with enough acceleration to get by in the NFL. Not bad at catching the ball, either.

Neither has much left in the tank. Jacobs will be lucky to last the year. He keeps being touted as SF's short yaradge back, but he hasn't been useful in short yardage situations in at least 3 years. Gore is getting closer and closer to the cliff.

If either truly emerge, then you're right, there's no need to get a RB. It's far from a given that either one will. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the 49ers go out and get another RB next year. Whether or not they'll do it in the first round is another question.

They might not. I took team need into consideration, but not as much as I normally would closer to the draft. I wanted to get the 32 top guys (IMO) on the mock, so sometimes, team need took a backseat. That said, I would not be shocked at all if SF took a RB next year.

Depends how Weeden does. With his age, I doubt he gets a ton of time to develop.

If they love a QB propsect and Weeden struggles they have to take the QB. I felt strongly that the Jags or Vikings would have been forced to take Luck if they finished with the worst record even though they took raw young Qbs last year.

This could very well be the last year of Gore, and Jacobs is on a one-year deal. They do have Kendall Hunter and just drafted LaMichael James though. They have five of their top six DL hitting walk years before 2014 so that might be another direction.

Some other Pac-12 prospects who are first-round caliber for 2013 not named Barkley, Woods and Lotulelei:

Shayne Skov, LB, Stanford: Freak athlete -- big, runs fast and hits hard. Absolutely relentless his FR year; lost his SO year to a torn ACL. He's a JR this year and he's an impact player.

Keenan Allen, WR, Cal: The Pac-12's Alshon Jeffery, a 6-5 physical speciman with good speed who has endured nightmarish QB play. He'd also be an early entrant he needs polish.

T.J. McDonald, S, USC: Has grown from a free-ranging thumper to an all-around safety, possibly the best in his class. QBs have to know where he is on the field.

Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon: 6-7, 240, college WR speed and a basketball wingspan. Needs to put it together as a senior to truly become a first-rounder.

Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State: Flies under the radar in Pullman (except for Cammo, evidently) but is such a fluid athlete and fun to watch.

Brandon Magee, LB, Arizona State: Another 2011 knee injury casualty but was close to the level of Vontaze Burfict their first two years.

Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State: Probably an NFL safety; excellent athlete and kick returner, big hitter, average at coverage.

Levine Toilolo, TE, Stanford: Not unlike Fauria of UCLA: Enormous at 6-8, decent in-line blocker, good hands and routes in the open field. Will get a lot more touches, and attention, without Coby Fleener.

Going off of what they showed last year. Aboushi and Joeckel should be the first two OTs taken. Fluker is hella overrated right now.
