RealGM 4th Annual User Mock Draft Comments/Trade Discussion

Post#1 » by J.Kim » Mon Apr 2, 2007 1:19 am

Okay... the last one was just getting flat out rediculous. So I'm making a new sign up. Rules are essentially the same, except that now, I'll be a lot more stricter in judging the trade's credibility (As in I'll actually be doing research for every team to see who's on the block).

As well, for sign ups, I am going to try to make this so that posters who have knowledge of that team will be picking for the teams. (In the case of teams like ... I don't know... Houston, where there aren't really any fans on this board, I'm gonna go with a veteran poster on this board, rather than a random)

Rules are still the same.

8 Hour time period for picks will still be heavily enforced (If you can't get your picks on time, send your pre-picked choices to me)
Trades and Draft Picks, be realistic as possible.

J Kim, I did the Cowboys first round and have my placeholder in for round 2. Might as well edit me in there for Dallas.

Do the Rams value the back up RB position that much that they'll spend a 2nd rounder on Antonio Pittman?

Not when Mike Martz was coaching, but it is always good to have a balanced attack, it makes the rams less predictable.

I agree. You always need 2 RB's but Stephen Jackson is a legitimate top 5 RB and I don't see the thinking in drafting a RB so high if he is going to be a backup.

Yeah makes no sense in my book Pittman could of been had in the third round. Hardly worth that pick considering some names still on the board that can make an impact this year.

rams select pittman? steven jackson is godlike!!!

as for Daymeion Hughes..... i was tempted to use my 2nd round pick on him but he's SOOOOO SLOW for a CBs.... even the draft report says he's vastly overrated.

f the world and its draft reports. I don't pay attention to combine numbers but hughes was a very good CB for Cal. I was tempted to draft Josh Beekman but will probaly address later

well..... it's different in the pros.... hughes's 40 yard is unacceptable for pro football in my opinion. its way too slow.

I was salavating thinking I might get Zach Miller @ 57, but am very happy with Tanard Jackson...

Eagles need corner and safety depth... This guy provides both...

Other considered included Ray McDonald, Aaron Rouse, Jonathan Wade, and Tony Hunt...

I feel that the Jets would be able to make Harris gain some weight and he could be an effective RT. Notre Dame is a no nonsense school, much like Tangini so im comfortable with taking a risk.

i think this draft should go 2 round and start the new one so we can have 1 more in before the draft and with all the new trades

No, it should go three rounds, but until you submit your pick on time it's going NOWHERE. And no one's gonna make a trade with Miami.

Also, we should consider selecting for compensatory picks. If we could, this changes my draft strategy.

24 hours since the last pick

Who is supposed to be up for Miami?

Here's the rest of the second round

60 Miami (from New England)
61 Baltimore
62 San Diego
63 N.Y. Jets (from Chicago)
64 Tampa Bay (from Indianapolis)
