gameday is coming to cal!

Post#1 » by GSWbandwagon » Tue May 15, 2007 3:51 am

for the season opener against tennessee. a rare trip west for them. might be their first time west outside of la since the 90s.

kickoff is at 5pm and they go live at like 7am (plus there is nowhere to tailgate, but i hear they'll be setting up in an active/historic part of campus instead of next to the football stadium) so i'm not sure how the turnout will be. still, fantastic exposure for cal and great to see espn recognize the west coast's existence (other than usc).

a preview from a cal board:

edit: hmm, won't let me insert as image so i'll leave it as a link. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p260 ... 1179177284

You're a Cal fan? God, the Pac-10 fights will be so intense.

But, please beat Tennessee. I still don't see why they're a nationally respected football program. Not since the days of Tee Martin have they been good.

Because they play in the SEC, which means they are better than 99% of all teams....

And Robert Meachem>PNF

That's not a fair comparison. I've never played organized football. But if I had, I imagine I'd just be a total stud.

yes its not an epic battle, but its support that they want to provide and help get all of tech and tech fans thinking about football and put the whole tragedy behind them

yeah, i'm sure espn is going there to just focus on the football. what's vtech favored by in that one? 40?

espn is going there to try to gravy train one more time on a local tragedy. i'm guessing they'll do a story or two on the shootings.

God ESPN Staying on the East Coast again. What a surprise.
Good thing New York University is not a division 1 school or ESPN would be sucking their nuts.

I love those three guys; Corso, Fowler and Herbstreit. It just wasn't the same when that guy, who hosts College Football Live, replaced Fowler for those couple of weeks.
