Top 10 Ugliest Uniforms

Post#1 » by KingInExile » Tue Jun 5, 2007 4:03 am

I don't normally care much about uniforms because, to me, the game is about what the guys in them can do on the field. But I just had to share this top-10 (or is it bottom-10) list from SI.com. This is for you, PNF:
Oregon State became the latest team to unveil new uniforms for the upcoming college football season, and all we can say is, yikes!! Those are some pretty ugly uniforms! We've been to Corvallis, and it's a nice city with good people who deserve better. So in an effort to lift their spirits, we present the 10 ugliest uniforms in college football:

10. Utah
9. Notre Dame
8. Iowa State
7. Clemson
6. Air Force
5. Delaware
4. Syracuse
3. Rhode Island
2. Wyoming
1. Oregon

Those are our picks. Which team's uniforms make your all-ugly team?

Oh, and for anyone else...hopefully this will bring some light-hearted discussion as we wait for action to start.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

That's funny; the "State" at the end is missing. THOSE are the ugliest unis in college football; the bra is absolutely horrid and it looks like a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) version of the previous one.

Sure OSU's are, well, blah.

But they are nowhere near the hideousness of the fake, wannabe diamond-plate shoulders of UofO.

Your uniforms are ugly AND you're giving Hoover High School royalty checks for that design. And you call our uniforms hideous.

The diamond-plating is gimmicky but it looks cool on other colors.

Yellow helmets are a mistake, but not as big of one as those things.

Funny how Delaware makes their list and Michigan does not, considering they wear the exact same unis.

I hate Iowa State's, glad they made the bottom 8.

I actually like Oregon's uni's, I think UCLA should be on this list though, that mix of colors is nasty.

Both Oregon and Oregon State have uniforms that should be banned. Oregon has it a bit worse, though.

UCLA's were cool until they went to the block numbers. Now, they're a far cry from the cool, more regal numbering. So yeah, I agree.

I just don't like the navy included in it. UCLA's helmets are the worst I know that.

Its not the worst. I've seen worse. It could be better. It would be great if OSU would go back to the happy beaver mascot logo. Here we go. Some teams I don't count cause they look too plain.
Here's the real WORST COLLEGE UNIFORMS
1. Maryland. Bad enuff there be replicas of it in commercials & movies.
2. Louisville. The Patriots of College Football. Only good thing going is the helmet & logo.
3. Oregon.
4. Florida. Royal Blue/Orange is such a gay color scheme. Helmet sucks too. Add Green & it would be an improvement
5. UCONN. Their look should get their football program contracted right now.
6. USC. Even if OJ Simpson never went there I still would hate the potato wedge stripes they have on their jerseys. The Seau & Keyshawn jerseys are much better.
7. Colorado State. The helmets are good but thats it.
8. Zona. If they looked exactly like the Titans it would be an improvement. Red Jerseys...UN UH! Burn them
9. Texas. I'd rather wear the Tennessee/T.Bay bright orange than wear that shade of orange they have. Only colors you can wear that looks right is white or black. Although I wouldn't mind seeing them wearing burnt orange pants cause they look nasty wearing all white.
10. Miami. Shoulda never tampered with their best look. The 99-2003 look. Shoulda never brought back the orange pants with their best look either.
11. Bowling Orange & Brown[Green] I always wondered why they were called Bowling Green but wear Cleveland Brown colors?
