Something does not make sense. Warriors cut salary. Warriors open a roster spot. I think I read that the Pacers gave us a 2nd round pick.

Then the Pacers cut Cory Joseph which I think means the Pacers pay the salary for a player they don’t have.

Why did the Pacers do this deal? How did this deal help the Pacers?

Edit. Warriors save 13 million in luxury tax.
Pacers sold a late 2nd round pickto the Warriors fror 5.8 million dollars minus whatever they have to pay Corey Josph.
Pacers had 3 2nd round picks.
Pacers are making some money on this deal.
