Because they match up far better vs. #1 OKC than #2 Denver.

I think most teams would prefer to take their chances vs. OKC than Denver.

And Minnesota could be in danger of losing to Phoenix too. They can play 5-out, which has caused problems for Gobert in previous playoffs.

That would pretty much take away a big part of the Wolves league-leading defense.

I believe they're 1-7 combined vs the dubs and kings. Highly doubt they tank the NOP game.

For sure, tank the Pelican game? What could possibly go wrong with that?

I think a lot of that speculation came from ESPN, reinforcing why I almost never listen to them anymore. Completely ridiculous idea; I have trouble thinking they actually believed any of this, and were more likely just spewing clickbait. If they honestly did believe they'd tank the 7/8 game, then a bunch of posters here should probably be applying for jobs.

2 things will keep me at peace with Warriors dropping the ball this season:

- Kings losing to Pelicans tonight.
- Any team but Lakers winning it all.

It's fun/heated/toxic with Kings fans (at least in my circle/twitter) and would love if they didn't make the playoffs even though they have a solid shot tonight without Zion for the Pels. As for Lakers - pretty self explanatory. Got to hand it to LBJ and crew for willing themselves into the playoffs though.

I don't want to see the Lakers win it all.

But I don't want to see Denver win it either.

so we lost by 24 points against a **** team that couldn't beat a pels squad with no zion?
what a joke.

Pelicans probably would have whooped us too. Pelicans have what we don't have: long, athletic wings and a 7foot bruiser. They have a nice squad. Not sure what they can do if Zion is going to be hurt or out every season.

Kings have good shooting but obviously they shot way above their average against the Warriors and then couldn't repeat it vs. the Pelicans.

Their injuries hurt them as their bench unit got outscored by a lot.

I'm pretty much fine with any team winning outside of the Lakers and Clippers.

The Kings still have some wiggle room to re-tool next year even if they lose Monk to free agency. They have a solid trio plus Ellis.

Warriors can’t be bottom of the Pacific division again next season.

Have had very little free time this year so haven't been able to watch non-Warriors basketball this year until the playoffs. It's so refreshing seeing actual half decent rotations and sensible rotations.

Even if you think Kerr used to be a good coach, it's utter stupidity to not recognize that the league has completely passed us by. It's like watching Phil Jackson run the Knicks.

JJ would be a solid coach IMO. His commentary is often whip smart. Occasionally a bit hot taky but that's the job I guess.

Franz Wagner is SO much better than Kuminga.

There's top 20 upside with Wagner if he can find his 3pt jumper consistently, even at his current career averages. Didnt catch games 1-2, where he apparently was good in G1 and bad in G2, but man he's been insanely good in 3 and 4, both sides of the ball. The far more apt comparison is Wagner vs. Scottie Barnes, and that ones a really tough call. A re-draft of '21 would have those 2 + Mobley as the top 3 picks in it. For now I'd go Mobley - Barnes - Wagner in that order, but they are the clear tier 1 at this point. Cade I think in his own area of tier 2.. then guys like Sengun/Trey/Suggs and MAYBE Jalen Green. But I think he's closer to tier 4 (Kuminga/Giddey) as guys who have flashed some really good play but have serious questions about whether or not their upside is real

All that to say.. yes, I dont think its particularly close
