Guaranteed Mahomes to Kelce TD to end it, then cut to Taylor like 500 times including slow-motion replay. The script has been written.

SF and KC offense and defense were generally evenly matched, really needed the 49ers to take advantage in the 1st half with the Chiefs offense looking dazed and confused and I knew going into the half only 10-3 was probably gonna bite them in the ass.

But ultimately the 49ers special teams f---- up big, even if the punt fumble was fluky, but a punt fumble and a missed PAT hurts big.

Then in a sudden death OT scenario the Chiefs clearly have the advantage having Mahomes. No idea why the 49ers decided to get the ball 1st. Both teams are guaranteed a possession and going 2nd means you know if you absolutely have to have a TD or not.

In the scale of 49er SB loses, this doesn't hurt as much as losing to Joe freaking Flacco, but man I just don't know when we'll see the 49ers back here again...

Niners players didn’t even know about the ot rules in the playoffs differed from the regular season. That’s why. Coaching malpractice

I bet they wanted to give the defense a rest. I would have gone for it on fourth down in the end zone if I were the 49ers, though. Had they not gotten it they would have at least pinned KC back. Suddenly KC's playing three downs instead of four.

Not being able to take advantage of KC in the first half was killer. They should have been able to put up a lot more points.

The issue is that if we give the ball to KC first and they score a td that doesn't end the game. So who cares if the defense needs a rest or not. The offense still needs to score a td but they get to go for it on 4th. If they score then they can win the game by going for 2. Horrible strategy no matter how you look at it

The defense looked pretty gassed at the end of regulation. I don't mind giving them a rest.

In my mind they have to go for it no matter what on offense. They just didn't.

LMAO as if they didn't know they'd "need a TD" against Pat F'ing Mahomes. Get out of here with that nonsensical take.

They wanted to make sure the defense was as rested as possible against Mahomes. Nothing more nothing less.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.
