Yeah, I suspect he will really struggle to defend, even more than Joker does. But nobody expects stand still shooters to defend all that well, and Robbie CAN shoot the lights out, and NBA wing defenders likely won't bother his shot.

Joker has really turned around as a defender. Think he's been underrated as a defender.

I think Avila really helped his entire team's offense efficiency. Being able to shoot and pass and take advantage of post up mismatches is huge as a center.

I will accept that Joker is better as a defender. He is not a GOOD defender as a center, but that's okay, he's got physical limitations ... he's good for the tools he has ... just like Curry is (and he is underrated as a defender too).

Avila was absolutely the centerpiece of his team's offense.

He's got physical limitation sure, but can you build an elite defense around him? I think they have and he does a lot in the defense.

Outside of a major trade, I'm assuming we are planning to pencil in Trayce as the starting center. And that would probably make Loon a candidate for salary matching or cost savings. I wouldn't mind having Broome on the roster as a backup center in waiting in case we moved on from Loon.

Broome's offensive rebounding is something I prize. Players who grab lots of offensive boards in college tend to do similar in the NBA, and offensive boards = sort of free points. Defense and activity has value.

I don’t get many opportunities to watch college ball these days but from the players I have seen more than once, I like the following:
Coleman Hawkins
Yves Missi
Justin Edwards
Alex Karaban

From the mock drafts it looks like Missi won’t be available but I watched him 3 times and could imagine him developing into a 15-20 mpg C.

We desperately need shooting at the wing positions and length at the 4&5 who can stretch the floor and play a little D.

Do we want a LeBron rental. Would LeBron reck team chemistry? LeBron as a small ball center? Does getting LeBron not fit with Kuminga?

Drafting Bronny in the 2nd round could get us LeBron.
Lakers might be happy to release LeBron from his contrct so that LeBron could play for less money with Bronny.

There is zero chance Bronny falls to the late 2nd round. He is going to get picked 1st round for sure.

Blazers have two lottery picks - their own and the Warriors.

They need to nail this draft with intentions of playing their rookies a long with Scoot next season for 2 reasons:
1. See what they have with their draft picks obviously. It's year 2 of their rebuild. So see what they like and dont like and let the rooks get minutes.
2. Tankathon for supposedly a better 25 draft with star power in Cooper Flagg.

Just looked at 2 mock drafts. Consensus mock draft had Bronny undrafted. A 2 day old post NCAA tournament mock draft had Bronny going at 55 late second round going to the Lakers 1 pick after the Warriors pick at 54.

The only reason I think this is I just have a hunch that if its known LBJ will go where Bronny goes to play together then a team in the 1st round will go ahead and take Bronny. I would think it's wild that all the GMs would let Bronny slip to the Lakers - why not draft him and trade to lakers for assets.

Are his shot mechanics salvageable? Other than that, he sounds ideal for us.

I read somewhere he's waiting to get to the league to completely rebuild his shot so he only has to do it once. Supposedly he was a good shooter in high school, but had a growth spurt which messed up his mechanics.

Like him for the Warriors? I doubt he is available in the 50's.

If Spurs land a top pick and Alex Sarr is available - Spurs could pair up two 7ft Frenchman and do damage to the NBA if they play well together. I do wonder how Wemby would play with another 7footer though - would be great with a paint player since he needs the space to drive etc.

I think that's why they tried to pair him with Collins so much this year to a detriment, especially with Sochan on the floor as well. But It seemed like Wemby worked better with more space obviously. Sarr wants to be a pf though but he's really going to need to be able to shoot for it to work, but damn their defense would be crazy.

who knows people fall all the time, especially ones who have a really really poor offensive output like his.

Spurs potentially get 2 first rounders depending where the Raptors end up from what i remember reading. Would be huge if the Spurs can keep drafting & developing young talent with Wemby in his 2nd year. Grow the roster like the Thunder and take over the league with a bunch of 22-24year olds.

They have a good chance to build s good team around wemby, which is why i would put the next 10 years of draft picks for these last 2 years of Steph. Wemby looks like GOAT material and is going to be hell to get through once he's ready.

One mock draft projects Warriors to take Pacome Dadiet.
If warriors draft that guy and he is any good that would be trouble for Santos, Moody and Klay 2 years down the road.

Another mock has us taking 6’ 8” passing power forward Hall. A back up passing power forward for Draymond kind of makes sense if Kuminga can defend guards. Kuminga kind of has the back up power forward minutes locked up. Kuminga at guard weakens Warriors 3 point shooting.

Another mock has Warriors taking 6’ “10 power forward Coleman Hawkins.

Weak rebounding slow 7’ 2” 230 pound U Kentucky Zvonimir Ivisic intrigues me. He blocks shots and hits 3s. Replace Saric with him. I am not 100% sure that he is coming out for the 2024 draft. People were declaring this guy to be a lottery pick but his stock has dropped.
