Been here. Done this...

All I will add is that however bad you suspect the situation may currently be in the NBA, it is likely far worse.

Re: For all the conspiracy theorists
If you look at that Nike conspiracy, I can believe Nike would do whatever they possibly could to bring Steph down. Add in an entire agency that has media connections as well ...
The Jordan Brand had 5 Billion in revenue last year. The NBA as a whole made 10 billion. Nike wanting to build another brand like Jordan off of Lebron being the chosen one and the one to take the mantle makes a lot of sense. When you think this scrawny kid out of Davidson ruined a potential 5 billion in revenue annually brand and basically destroying any chance of Lebron being GOAT, they would probably do whatever they can to change that narrative.
If Steph got regular foul calls that every other shooter gets he'd be unstoppable.

Re: For all the conspiracy theorists
Could the NBA make a guy like Austin Reeves a star by giving him foul calls?
If we remove LeBron, Davis and Reeves and 3 guys on the other teams do the Lakers still get a substantial free throw benefit?
Do players free throw attempts fall when they leave the Lakers?

Re: For all the conspiracy theorists
I was wondering why nowadays betting is allowed in almost every sport. This will always attract manipulations. Wasn't that a big problem in the 50s/60s?
