wk 17: oakland, MUST WIN!

Post#1 » by jerrod » Wed Dec 30, 2009 3:16 pm

so having a must win game against the raiders seems too good to be true. i think we'll win, but a loss would be a horrific way to end the season.

also, could troy smith possibly have worse timing with his trade request? geez. i guess he's not happy with his 1 wildcat play per game

So it is a Ravens win and we're in?

This is a great matchup for us. The Raiders have a half ass run D, so there should be a lot of Rice this week. And I would like to see McClain get some extra carries this week. I was reading that Reed and Gaither are probably going to play a little this week, which I think is a good idea since they need to shake off some rust before gearing up for the playoffs(hopefully).

my understanding is that a win and we're in.

if the jets beat the bengals we get the 6th seed and probably play the patriots

if the bengals beat the jets we get the 5th seed and probably play the bengals

What about a Ravens loss? Who else would we need to lose?

Honestly, if we lose, I don't even want to make the playoffs (if there were possibilities under that scenario).

Win and we're in. It's as simple as that. We're facing an absolutely horrid rush-defense and we have a kid named Ray Rice who I hear is pretty okay.

That stiff arm was brutal, like a personal assault on that man's continuing sense of dignity. McGahee should almost feel ashamed.

Not the kind of win that makes you feel comfortable heading into the playoffs but a win is a win.

Other positive notes...

- the Steelers are out of the playoffs!
- Wes Welker is out against us next Sunday
- Brady may be out as well, though not sure about this one

i was pretty happy about that too, although usually because that means the ravens won the division. i hope this cincinnati resurgance is temporary

Doesn't seem to stop the opposing team from unloading an aerial assault on our secondary.

Return to Baltimore Ravens
