Tough loss for the Jays and it will difficult to win one game in this series not having Thomas in the already struggling lineup.

To be honest, with how ordinary Thomas has been this year, it shouldn't be a problem. We need Vernon and especially Lyle to get off the snide. For all the talk about pitching problems, I think it's the hitting which has let us down. I want to see us losing 9-8. Not 5-3.

7-0 exactly what the Jays needed and now hopefully Marcum can continue to pitch well.

plans got cancelled for tonight, but i turn on the tv and see the Jays are up 7-o so i'm happy again :)

I don't want to jinx it but Marcum has a no hitter thru 4 so far. This guy has been good lately.

The Jays are up 13-2 in the 8th. You would think this is good news but it means that we will score 3 or less tomorrow.

Rios with 4 walks tonight. I wonder what the record is for most walks by a batter in a game.

Walks, most: Jimmie Foxx, Boston Red Sox, 6 (6/16/1938); Walt Wilmot, Chicago Cubs, 6 (8/22/1891)

It's not happening for Rios tonight...

With the experience both Marcum and Janssen got last year, it's not crazy to think they could have breakout years this year. But I guess it's crazy to expect it.

I hope that is the breakout game our offence needed.

Jesse Litsch is gonna go 2-0 after today. I can feel it.

Well, he just got pulled and it's 4-0 Phils. Sooo... don't think it's going to happen.

Where are the bats?!?! Geez, how many have been left on base through 4? Five? Ridiculous...

I would much prefer getting 6 runs every game instead of 12 one night and 0 the next.

We always seem to suck at interleague play.
