You take who you deem as the BPA. If he was #1 on their board that's why. Could always move him to LF.

laporta is going to be good, but he's mainly seen as just a hitter and a pretty crummy 1st baseman, maybe melvin will let prince walk after his arb years. he had to have been the BPA for Melvin to pull the trigger on this.

Possible but I think they'll open the checkbook to keep him around.

My guess is they try and move him to LF.

sounds like a guy who can move through the minors fast and possibly move him to a different position since he played catcher in high school. also said the brewers may just be taking him for value to trade him if he does well in the minors because we know for sure prince isnt moving anywhere
