2. Create a game-day-only lane on the Peace Bridge.
Both the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres thrive on the business of Canadian fans. Bills CEO Russ Brandon told us that up to 18 percent of the Bills’ home-game crowds come from Southern Ontario. That’s even more than the team gets from Rochester and Monroe County (up to 17 percent).
Armstrong thinks even more Canadian fans would come to Buffalo if the border crossing could be made more efficient.
“Maybe our elected officials could help improve traffic flow on game days,” Armstrong said during our sports symposium. “Make it more attractive for Canadian fans to come to Buffalo.”
Afterward, Armstrong and I were chatting casually. “You know,” he told me, “why don’t they create a lane on the bridge that’s just for ticket holders? Show your ticket, show your ID, and go to the game.”
It’s a good idea – one that would significantly ease congestion and bring more people to the area.
Now let’s hope the right people are listening — and willing to act.

I don't even go to Bills games when they come to Canada, I wouldn't go see them IN Buffalo lol I really can't stand this forced "Canada's" team garbage. I'm sure someone at Rodgers told Jack to put in a little love for them.
The only good thing in Buffalo for me is the fact that trains to eastern America from Toronto are forced to go through there most of the time.

I've went to a few Sabres games (any Leafs @ Buffalo game has about 3/4 Leafs fans... no joke)... and I have absolutely 0 problems crossing the border for them. This is just a little marketing scheme that doesn't do much for Canadians but helps attendance problems down south

What you'd actually need is a bridge over Lake Ontario connecting Toronto to St. Catharines/Niagara.

Actually, if you've never been to a Bills game in Buffalo, you should go. Tailgating is where it's at. The arcane drinking laws in Ontario prevent most of the fun from happening. It's a good time and if it was easier to get across the border, you can bet that more people would attend the games.

Even if it were possible, I would be against it. It would only serve to further worsen the already diluted relationship between Toronto and the CFL, which should be stronger. Toronto needs to realize once again that we have a great game and a great team at home and not be so infatuated with the bright lights drawing them towards an inferior game.

LOL NFL inferior to the CFL? man I have canadian pride but wow thats insane CFL is not even superior to NCAA let alone the NFL

this is dumb, toronto doesnt deserve a team. they do a terrible job with the franchises they have

Sure the 1-lane dedicated for game day sounds good, just one minor change, move the team to toronto and let the americans use the lane

If you need to be drunk to enjoy a game, then it's not much of a game is it?
