Reports are that the Bears will be sending a player to the Raiders in addition to the 2 first rounders. Are there any Bears defensive players that would cause you to like the trade significantly less?

Since the Raiders are said to be cash-strapped and now need a pass rusher, If I was Oakland, I’d want Floyd.

Amos, Jackson and Floyd would really hurt.

I think it's Kwitkowski just based on my gut.

Yeah, the “player to be named later” has been completely ignored in all of the reports I’ve read, but if it’s a young defensive starter, it’d be a bit of a buzz kill.

It would make sense if it were an O-Linemen or Kevin White. Wims showed me enough to not lose a second of sleep over losing White.

Mack to bears for 6 yr 141M, 90M guaranteed. Hope it set up like Rodgers so we can keep cap flexibility

Now appears that Mack is the only player in this trade. Color me relieved.

Great move by Pace and you couldn't have asked for a better opportunity . Week one national tv just became a huge game for the NFL now that Mack is in a major market

Pace was smart to do a move like this right now considering you have rookie deals on the book still. Plus if Mitch works out, he won't be getting paid for a few years.

Agreed

A position of need and he filled with the best player at this position. Can you imagine what mack is going to be like under Fangio? He is going to go super saiyan on the nfc.

This was an excellent trade for all parties involved.
Chicago gets the force they need on defense and a guy that's going to make everybody on the line better.
Oakland gets the draft picks they desired. This will leave a huge hole for my Raiders on defense, but I understand the business side of it, and the amount of money he wanted/signed for was, too great.

Congrats!

Well Fangio is a better DC than whoever Oakland had.

But does a defensive stud making QB money raise a team like ... a franchise QB?

Oakland defense still sucked with Mack and they couldn’t make the playoffs —well just once.

Similarly, Dolphins weren’t a perennial playoffs team with Suh on that big contract either.

It definitely works better that Trubitsky is on a rookie deal.

He’s the best read of the Bears on the web. Jahns and Zeglinski from WindyCutyGridiron are great too.
