One of the things I liked most about Pace's first round pick is that he didn't try to be bold or brilliant. I know he'd like to be thought to be both of these, but any idiot can be bold and if you attempt to force brilliance, it's real easy to end up a fool. He showed some maturity.

Very true. I think he feels that the team is much closer to competing now, and therefore needs some solid starters to plug in. I'd love to see us taking a good interior lineman with the 2nd round pick (Hernandez, Daniels, or C. Williams, whoever they like the most). Of course I also wouldn't mind either Jackson or Oliver for CB depth. You need at least 3 good CB's in the modern NFL.

I read that Nagy researched every WR for the draft, and I have a feeling that they'll wait until the later rounds to take one.

James Daniels with the 2nd pick. Another one that I like.

Daniels. Solid pick. Still need a pass rusher, and depth at receiver and OL

I guess Whitehair goes back to guard, which is probably for the best since he had some fumble issues last season.

Wrong about trading, but good pick.

I'm wondering if Pace was trying to move up to draft one of the ol that were taken in the later 1st

It may still be possible to trade a 4th and 5th (or something along those lines) to move up into the 3rd. We'll see. Could still use another OLB, CB, and WR.

Bears will probably fill the edge rusher need from the undrafted FA market

Bears have an extra 4th rounder this year, right?

They had two 4th rounders to start. Ended up using one of the 4ths in the trade for Miller. So we have only one 4th rounder going into tomorrow. Pick 117 I think.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I knew they traded a 4th for Miller.

The guys I really like in the 4th are Mo Hurst, Josh Sweat and Jaylyn Holmes. If they're all gone I'd be good with another DE/OLB or Desmond Harrison.

If Maurice Hurst is still there for us in the forth, i'd be very surprised if we don't take him. He's a late 1st/early 2nd round talent and he fills a need. Maybe we take Hand instead of him.

We might also take some division 17 player

In the 5th I like Dorance Armstrong. He play 4-3 DE but i think he'll do a lot better as a 3-4 OLB

Okoronkwo might drop to the 6th because of physical traits but he's a ball player. He'd be a great pick in the 6th.

There's gonna be a lot of OT to take in the 7th. Desmond Harrison might be a 1st rounder if he doesn't have character issues. If he's there I easily take him.

Yeah but they passed on landry and they seem focused on offensive players.

Yikes... Mayock said Hurst has the same heart condition as Hank Gathers.
