They were asking for 2 first rounders. Bears might have given it to them. Going all in the next couple years I guess. A lot hinges on Trubisky.

Seriously, I hoped that I would wake up to news that Bears traded for Mack and Ryan Pace delivered.

I'm confident about being a playoff team this year. That defense is going to wreck havoc.

The first part is definitely funny, and overall he was pretty level on breaking down the move.

OUR defense can now win games. This takes pressure off Money Mitch.

We will be contenders if we stay healthy.

Mack- Danny T- Roquan - Leonard

That's really freaking good. Leonard won't ever be an elite OLB but I think he will thrive on the other side of an elite player like Mack. Mack really opens up so much for the rest of this defense. I think Eddie Jackson's playmaking skills really take a step forward with the pressures that Mack will generate. Roquan is going to be the front runner for DROY in this grouping. Hicks is going to be even better playing on the same side as Mack.

I think this makes Lenord so much better. He can now rush the QB without having to be the first guy OL worry about. With a guy like Mack drawing so much attention I can see Floyd flourishing in his role.

I was against giving up 2 first rounders for Mack, but I do love a good party...particularly when the hangover is a year away.

Go Bears!

This trade puts Jackson, Fuller, Hicks, Roquan and Floyd in a position to all take a massive step forward. They're all good players who will seriously benefit from the impact that Mack has on the game. That should help us go from a top 10 defense to a top 3 defense.

Putting that type of defense together puts Mitch and the offense in a really good position to be successful. Being a good team lessens the hurt from trading away those picks. It's risky but there's no point in staying 3rd in the division forever. I trust in Pace's vision and his ability to go out and get things done.

A question for the class.

Reports are that the Bears will be sending a player to the Raiders in addition to the 2 first rounders. Are there any Bears defensive players that would cause you to like the trade significantly less?

Since the Raiders are said to be cash-strapped and now need a pass rusher, If I was Oakland, I’d want Floyd.

Amos, Jackson and Floyd would really hurt.

I think it's Kwitkowski just based on my gut.

Yeah, the “player to be named later” has been completely ignored in all of the reports I’ve read, but if it’s a young defensive starter, it’d be a bit of a buzz kill.

I think I'd be fine with Amos. I know pff has him ranked well, but I think its misleading. He's not nearly as good as they claim he is.

But definitely agree with Jackson and Floyd.

Maybe it will be Roy Robertson-Harris.
