Select which position our first round pick plays. Add who you think it will be.

Gonna go with a guy they didn't have in for a Top 30, Darius Robinson. Robinson takes over for Smith in 2025.

Guyton is the guy who seems to check every single box the Packers like and is likely to be available at 25 so I'll say him even if I kind of believe the R1 tackle stuff might be a smokescreen. Tbh I actually think they trade down out of the 1st but that's not an option.

It wouldn't surprise me at all for them to trade back, or even trade the first for a 2025 pick.

With whatever is their first pick, my guess is an O-lineman, especially if there's a run on QBs and WRs in the first.

OL, not sure which one

Guyton does seem to meet a lot of Packer criteria and if he's there, I could see him being the guy. My random stab in the dark pick is Jordan Morgan. Shorter arms (like Bahk) for an OT, might need to play inside, but I think he'll get every opportunity to compete at Tackle at some point in his career and has positional flexibility. Guessing he goes Day 2, but that's my random guess... now watch they go and do something random like take a round 1 receiver lol.

I think it's the highest likelihood based on who'll be available, but if Mims is off the board, I'll be pretty underwhelmed if they just stand pat and take a 2nd tier O-lineman like Guyton, Barton, JPJ, Morgan, Patrick Paul, etc. This is a draft I'd be looking more at talent/value, not just settling for a "good fit" guy. Would feel very Derek Sherrod-y...

I'll go out on a limb and say Murphy somehow drops to us.

OK.... With the St Brown deal in mind, vs all of the accumulated rookie deals the pretty skilled Packer corps has, would it be worthy of consideration to draft another WR early-ish, and try to trade one of the more moveable current recievers during pre-season? They've all shown something last year, with Toure' or Dubose being the current bottom guy. Even those guys are better than some players on other rosters (I know..... Homer)

I voted CB and I’m gonna say either Dejean or Kool Aid. But that’s just a throw **** at the wall and hope it sticks type of guess. Here’s a question tho, if all these freak mammoth OL are as potentially as good as advertised, why are ppl expecting them to be there at 25? The OL tested the best collective through the draft process than any other position, there’s what like 7 with 1st round grade consensus? Maybe more? Doesn’t it seem like the OL will have the next run after this QB/WR extravaganza that’s supposed to start the drafts 1st 10 picks or so? I think it’s far more likely that a nice D player falls on our laps. Maybe even someone really good we’re expecting to go earlier.

If they stay at 25 I think it’ll be a corner or another premier position guy that falls (like Murphy)

I voted CB too, but I'd be cool with any skill position they'd pick. I like taking players at premier positions in the early rounds since I think those guys can make the biggest impact, and grab offensive line in mid to late rounds, where they've had success finding starting caliber players.

I'd say CB or OL for sure.

Lots of finals mocks seem pretty locked on Cooper Dejean at 25. I’ll be stoked.

as it seems decently likely that #25 is traded, here's how that pick was traded the last handful of years:

2023, traded to move BACK for picks #27 + #130 (late 4th)
2022, traded + #130 to move UP to #23
2021 [traded as future 1st in a 2020 package]
2020, traded to move BACK to picks #31 + #117 (mid 4th) + #176 (late 5th)
2019, traded + #127 (4th) + #197 (6th) to move UP to pick #22
2018, traded + #125 (4th) to move UP to #22 + #215 (6th)
2017, traded + next year's 1st to move UP to #12
*bonus for GB fans, 2009, pick #26 + #162 were traded to move BACK to #41 (2nd) + #73 (3rd) + #83 (3rd). GB drafted Clay Matthews with #26.

So, to move up or down a few spots (which has been the case in 5 of the last 6 years), it's taken or netted an additional 4th. When a team tried to move up significantly (to #12), it took the next year's 1st.

If we're trying to move up 5-9 spots, I'd imagine it would require giving up at least a 3rd, maybe a 2nd. That seems doable since we have two in each of those rounds.

I'd probably do the bolded trades.

I'll say we move up for Terrion Arnold. Perhaps to Seattle's pick @ 16.
