Hell of a catch by Ozuna off the bat from Grady. He had a triple written all over that one.

Nice job by CC to get out of the jam there, that is probably it for him today but other then the home runs he really had a pretty good start.

The Tribe are officially in first place in our division and have the best record in baseball. Celebrate!!

Good to get deep into the White Sox bullpen in the first game of the year. Hopefully that translates well into the rest of the series.

Does anyone know the reason that they usually play the opener and then take a day off, I have seen it happen in the past I just thought it was werid.

No clue why they do that. I think it was the same way for the Tribe last year. If anything it helps the White Sox, since we got into their bullpen early. But now we get to look forward to 12 straight days of baseball.

I always wondered the same thing then as I was watching a game yesterday (cant remember which one) an announcer, who deserves sainthood for sharing the knowledge, said that they do it so that in case of bad weather they can push opening day back one day and still have all of the opening day celebrations. Why they couldnt do that on the next day regardless of the off day is beyond me, but thats what he said the reasoning was.

This game could get ugly. This umpire has a small, small strike zone. Thome rips a 3 run homer. Basically have to throw it down the middle to get a call.

Now he calls Dye out on a pitch he's been calling a ball to everyone else. This umpire will end up tossing Guillen or Wedge before this game is over. Funny thing is, we've only played 1 inning and everyone is barking at this guy.

3-0 White Sox after the first inning.
