It's sad to see Harrison go after all he's done for the team. I understand the move though, from a cap standpoint it's a move that had to be made.

Also, any possibility that he is a criminal, and he's on the hit list.

That's just the nature of the NFL. If Jerry Rice played in another uniform besides the 49ers, then Marvin Harrison can play in another uniform besides the Colts. It sucks, but that's just the way it is. Marvin can still be a solid pro in this league, but he's not the type of player that is going to command a double digit annual salary anymore. It was a business decision that had to be made IMO.

I like Marvin, but I definitely agree with this move. We saved $6 million in salary cap in the end, right? I heard his contract was for $9mill and it took up $13.5, and I THINK I heard it freed up $6mill. What about signing another very good WR for a couple years to put at the 2? This way we keep Reggie at one (or 2 spot if Reggie is comfortable at 2 and other receiver at 1, doesn't really matter). Keep Gonzo at the 3/slot, I think he is perfect there. And then have Dallas at TE and occassionally 3. Reggie at 1, Gonzo at 2, and Dallas at 3 works, but adding a guy like Boldin, Houshmandzadeh (crazy spelling), or Coles to go at the 2 would be great, depending on how much they want. I am sure it'd be much less than what Marvin gets. WR isn't our weakest spot, though, so I don't know if we would look there. Peyton isn't getting any younger, though, and I think we need to really push these next 3-4 years to win a couple of championships. Another random possibility I thought of and wouldn't mind at all... Trade our 2nd round pick for Tony Gonzalez. Put him at TE full-time and Dallas at the slot. It would just be confusing to have Anthony Gonzalez and Tony Gonzalez, but I am up for it.
