Cool. Good luck to him. And we get our 6th rounder back from the nixed Big Daddy trade.

Ehh, I always like Mare. Hopefully the fins can pickup up a good FG kicker cause they usually are responsible for 2-3 games thtoughout the season.

we already have jay feely from the gaints. wow cam and muuller are really trying to pill on picks. im still surprised they didnt get much from randy mcmicheal but i guess he was that big of a problem. i think with all of this picks we will move up again like 4 round or something

Randy's issue was $$$ -- he was due a roster bonus of like 3M right before he was cut, so a team had to pay that to a player they didn't know would re-sign if they wanted him

Good to see Miami get something (although its a very little something) for nothing. Mare was gone no matter what with Feely here. I guess it was worth it to the Saints to give up that 6th rounder as opposed to waiting for him to just be cut. No way the Dolphins would have kept both him and Feely on the roster.

Too low of a draft pick for a player like Mare....

Does this make up for the Wilkinson trade?

It certainly helps after the loss of the Wilkerson draft pick, but man, wouldn't it be just great to have 3 6th round draft picks (If the Wilkerson trade would have went through).

I'm guessing that we were holding out for something higher (maybe a 4th or 5th) but when the Wilkinson trade fell through, we softened.

we also had little to no leverage, since we had Feeley on the roster

a 6th for a very expensive kicker is good (he makes like 1.5 a year; Feeley got 800k)
good for Mare for getting to an indoor team in the SE, he played 8 games in the Superdome, 1 game in the Georgia Dome guaranteed every year, and I think his ineptitutde has been a little overblown, but he did miss some gimmes. He is awesome on kickoffs.

Mare will be sending his kickoffs into the stands playing in a dome. I think this is a better situation for both Olindo Mare and the Miami Dolphins. Olindo gets to play in a dome where there isn't an infield (**** Marlins!) or any outside weather. This is good for the Dolphins because we get a player who some think is better than Mare and also he has experience playing in bad weather which will help us considering we play at New England, Buffalo, and New York at least once a year!

I think Mare went to the perfect place. Close to home, indoors and a winning team!! Watch him revive his career. A 6th for a kicker is not bad. I just hate the fact that "fat albert" Wilkinson decided he wanted to be lazy again and not show up for his physical. We lost a pick that could've helped jump up in one of the other rounds.
