Week 1: Dolphins @ Falcons

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Wed Sep 9, 2009 1:17 am

Finally, the preseason is over and teams are drawing up a game plan for their future opponents. This season should be fun, lets hope for a strong start.

Things to look for:

Miami's run offense vs. Atlanta's run defense
-To me, this is the key to the season. Can we Run?

Atlanta's pass offense vs. Miami's pass defense
-How will the rookies preform with the Lights on?
"They better be ready," Allen said of his rookie teammates. "I'd like to say they are, but we'll see."

Final Prediction
Dolphins- 24
Falcons- 17

Atlanta is favored by 4. Matt Ryan plays bad when you can rush and get to him. With revamped line and scheme our Dline wins this (and perhaps many) for us. I look for an aggressive offense and Pennington to air it out often instead of the ground it out game that everyone expects.

24-17 Phins sounds right.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

When I guess what our record is going to look like by the end of the season, this game isn't one that I count in the W column. I think the fate of a playoff berth for the Dolphins depends on the outcome of this game. And by that I mean, if the Phins win, we make the playoffs, and if they lose, no playoffs. And by that I mean, this game is important. Y'nawmean?

no turnovers = Phins victory

im excited to see Sean Smith in his first regular season game and overall I think our D is being underrated by most everyone....

should be a tough tough game though

Atlanta are boring, but their O is efficient.

I expect the Fins to confuse the hell out of the Atlanta D.

We just edge a high scorer because Pennington has more noose than the Falcon QB.

Anyone know a site that will definitely have it uploaded on Monday/Tuesday so that I can watch it without knowing the score?
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

I wouldn't call ATL boring - they have Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez on offense..

their defense is suspect, we need to exploit that

this is going to be a tight game I think
hope we pull it out
(and win the game, too)

If Chad P. get hurt, would the dolphins bring in Henne and force Pat White to the bench for the rest of the game? Or would they leave Pat White for acouple of series and hope that Chad P gets back in the game.
