Kevin Williams restructured, he took a 2.5 million dollar pay cut and he'll be a free agent after next season. We now have 6.9 million in cap space.

It would be cool if they could get Allen signed to an extension, and lower his cap hit. I think he's got several years of high level play left.

that'd be sweet if it was really 116. Just absolute chaos on the practice field.

The depth would be gargantuan.

Sounds like Urlacher is leaning towards signing with us on a one/two year deal.

I just like him because of his leadership qualities and he's a name everyone would respect.

BUT

@NFL_ATL: Urlacher/Vikings update, per @RapSheet. Vikes to lean on in-house options at ILB "barring unforseen circumstances."

If Urlacher's an upgrade I don't see any reason to be hestitant assuming the money is right. I just don't know how much he has left in the tank and I don't much about the guys we've got.

word on the street is that we offered 76 million to mike wallace but he obviously turned it down (dolphins deal was only 60 million)

any thoughts?

i am kind of glad he didn't take it, i feel like that would have been way too much on one player and we wouldn't have been able to do everything we did this offseason i think

i kind of find it weird that we even offered that much anyway

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_ ... -cap-space

vikings have a little over $7 million in cap space

is it weird that we haven't signed our 3 first round picks yet? rest of the class was signed a few weeks ago

I don't know why, but it seems standard for the Vikings to wait until the week before training camp to sign their first round pick(s). It happens every year.

good to have experienced linebacker depth

seems to be a pretty big mystery as to what position he will play

I liked the signing. If he's healthy, he's definitely an solid player. And it sounds like it will keep Henderson away from MLB, so that's a bonus.
