and they do it earlier in the game

This is by far my biggest complaint with this offense. The offense is beyond predictable for the 1st half of games. Pretty much all runs or super conservative pass. Offense gains zero momentum and we fall behind. Then comes the 2nd half, we are behind and the offense needs to start being more aggressive and all of a sudden our offense gains a rhythm and we go from looking like one of the worst offenses to looking like we could score on anyone.

I get Cook is probably the best RB in the game, but we also have a top 3-5 WR duo in the league as well. If we use those WRs earlier on, it also helps open up gaps for Cook and makes his life easier. We just need to start every game with the playcalling like we are down 10 points and it would be all good.

And we’re officially in the last playoff spot.

Justin Jefferson when he has at least 9 targets in a game:

7 catches, 175 yards, 1 TD
9 catches, 166 yards, 2 TDs
8 catches, 135 yards
7 catches, 70 yards, 2 TDs
9 catches, 121 yards, 1 TD

Even if you include the games where he gets at least 5 targets:

4 catches, 103 yards
3 catches, 23 yards
3 catches, 86 yards, 1 TD

So in other words, whenever they give this guy any kind of attention, he shows out practically every time (that 3 catch, 23 yard performance was just his 3rd start). Like I said earlier, I completely understand Cook is a flat out beast, but you also got 2 studs in your WRs. Every gameplan should include at minimum 8-10 targets for both Thielen and Jefferson. Dont wait till the 2nd half to decide to get these 2 guys involved.

well that was disappointing, everything out in front of us and we just threw away opportunity after opportunity

Looked promising to start. Fell apart almost immediately after the missed PAT.
I'm not sure how you can spike the ball with 0:01 second when you snap the ball with 0:01 and have no run-off. Ref's gifted Tom one at the end of the half.

Going for it on 4th and 1 on our own 40? something yard line? I get the "hold them to a field goal" and we're still down by 2 scores logic behind it but you don't make a potentially season ending call like that in the 2nd quarter.

shoot, good play by their defensive back on the hail mary, bisi was there

couldn't stop the run all game, and they just moved the ball down the field all game always getting scores. really tough to come from behind when you are always giving up points. good fight from the team

dantzler seems to be really turning a corner

congrats to justin jefferson breaking randy's viking record for most catches by a rookie

So, 6 rushing Touchdowns in one game. From the Saints?

Is this the team and defense quitting on the coach yet again?

The only good thing about this season was Jefferson breaking Rick's track record of drafting duds after trading
away a good WR.

That's horrible news about Cook's father. 46 is too young and too young for Cook to lose his Dad. rip
I'm sure he was proud of his son having his best NFL season to date.

cook understandably out for the last game, rudolph put on ir, rieff is on the covid reserve list so he might not play (could be big, he's been our best lineman all year)

this week might be a good opportunity to see what a lot of young guys have. if there are any that we haven't given significant playing time to already this year

our draft pick will be in the 9-15 range depending on various outcomes, 9-13 if we lose and 13-15 if we win

here is the full rundown of what needs to happen to get which pick

I'm interested in seeing what James Lynch DT has to offer in a increased roll

jefferson sets the super bowl era rookie record for most receiving yards, hopefully he wins the rookie of the year
