tough game, another one down to the wire

not good for the playoff picture, but man we had a lot of people out. jj, conklin, cousins, mattison with good games

defense just couldn't get a stop on the last drive

this recommends just blowing it up (spielman, zimmer, cousins all gone)

i see where they are coming from and i also agree it will be hard to commit to doing it. i don't know what to do but it does feel like we're on a treadmill to nowhere

dalvin cook!

didn't even seem like kirk was having a bad game until he was. a little off target but then the picks (although the first one i think wasn't on him, tipped pass). went to jj a lot in the first half but not enough in the second. i had thought we turned some kind of corner but it was more the steelers didn't show up for the first 2.5 quarters

The first pick bounced right off JJ's chest, not on Kirk at all. The second pick was brutally timed. We're up 16 with 5 minutes left, the game is on the verge of being over until the Steelers get that pick. I've seen some blame it on KJ for not fighting through, either way, it can't happen.

its really remarkable, and concerning, how we can't play with a lead. 30 points out to be enough (and i guess it was this time, but just barely)

breeland is out, got into some altercation at practice and was waived

The Vikings keep their hopes alive, although they probably need to beat LA or GB for a real shot. Big game tonight between Washington and Philadelphia. Go Philadelphia, I guess, since Washington has the tiebreaker over us.

announcers said 7th place will need 10 wins, i don't know if that's how it will play out but we'd need to win out

We're in the last spot right now, but we're tied with New Orleans and whoever wins between Washington and Philly. So 10 is the most wins the last spot will have. Saints probably have the easiest schedule with the Dolphins, Panthers and Falcons, but I don't think they're guaranteed to win out. Washington and Philly play each other again and the Cowboys. I don’t think either of them wins 10.

We weren’t the better team today, but if we had taken advantage of our opportunities we could have won. We’ll see if we still have a playoff shot but we need to beat the Packers for sure.

listened on the radio (travel day), seemed like the game followed the usual script (we only have the two this year, close win and close loss)

couldn't take advantage of the breaks we got

also, conklin has really done a good job of stepping into the tight end 1 role. he had been the blocking guy here for years and now with all the departures and injuries he's the guy now and he's playing well

Welp, that was the most predictable outcome ever

Cousins is out, and it seems like we’re pretty much done.

We must have thought Mannion gave us a better chance to win, but I’m struggling to see why we even have him on the roster.

the bradbury play was cool, and osborne is developing nicely. otherwise that pretty much stunk

and we get another week of it! :noway:

Pretty frustrating effort. It seems like the reason they started Mannion is because he has a better command of the offense, but then they spent the first half playing super conservative. Then when they come back from half, Zimmer's complaining that they didn't even try to run the ball. I was pretty confused by that comment. You don't get much of a chance to do anything when you're not getting first downs. When we did run the ball, we were getting stuffed, forcing us to throw on other downs.
I don't know, it just felt like we had no game plan without Cousins.

so with us out of the playoffs, do we go with cousins next week? maybe put together a full game plan for mond?
