I think Hunter would be just another example of a guy who, while talented, doesn't really move the needle for the team.

he moves a needle for me but not pick 7. also, it's interesting that the story does not mention Collins.

Maybe I'm just getting cranky (crankier?) in my old age. Or maybe I'm tired of so many years of draft picks/trades which didn't really make a difference for the team. Then again, it could be both.

I always worry with both Pacer and Colts draft when the guy I wanted goes with the pick right after ours, this year though there are several guys I'll be happy with at 7. I expect to be surprised at 26.

despite draft disappointments, we really had an amazing run of years with winning home records and playoff games. I lived through the years where MSA had a curtain in the upper deck so you wouldn't see all the empty seats, and then Bryon Scott showed up and taught them what it took to win and getting to the playoffs was so exciting that they gave out new t-shirts each round. every summer I write that I'm always optimistic this time of year. this year is no different although I'm even more patient than I used to be.

I guess I'm glad that I stocked up on pizza and beer for tonight.

Plus, they represent two of the four basic food groups: Fruit & Vegetables, Dairy, Pizza, Beer.

Anyone surprised that OKC took a guard at 10 when they already have SGA and Giddey? I would have thought wing. Maybe they switch Giddey to a wing ?

Surprised me. Cal is a fantastic judge of guard talent. Giddy is big enough to play on the wing.

Interesting end to the TJD saga. it turns out that even though he was taken with one of the last picks in the draft, he's getting a regular contract with the Warriors. the team is taking advantage of a little known provision in the new CBA which allows tax paying teams to sign second round picks without regard to their cap situation. they're able to fill their 15th roster spot with him without a tax multiplier.

Oladipo tried so hard to get out of Indy and land in sunny Miami and now he’s back in OKC.

Crazy how that works sometimes.

There's no timetable yet for his recovery from the patellar tendon injury in the playoffs. Do you think they will even want him to report to OKC?

OKC essentially has 19 guys signed for next year, counting their first round pick. I would imagine that Oladipo would be a buyout, unless they can flip his contract as salary matching in trade before the start of the season?
