2019 New York Jets Draft

Post#1 » by Grover » Wed Apr 3, 2019 10:27 am

With a few weeks to go before the clock starts on the 1st pick, there appears to be a preference for the Jets to trade back and acquire additional picks followed by hoping Bosa slides, with Allen and Williams as the floor for the third pick. Any thoughts from the few?

I was looking through some Jets stuff and came across this. Thought it was pretty cool. The odds say we are most likely to take Ed Oliver. Kinda still hope we trade back under the right circumstances. The Ed Oliver talk has to be a smoke screen, right? I think he's a solid guy, but an undersized NT is not something I'd like from the 3rd pick. If it's not an edge, I'd hope we can trade back to build that line around Darnold and Lev.

The Williams pick is more enticing to me, but still is a weird one. I feel like we're going to end up in awkward spots like we were when you had Sheldon, Leonard, and Mo (three brick houses) on the line and one of them is always awkwardly placed.

Flipping Lee would be idea I think.Maybe you can package something to get some OL help. Shruggggg... I just can't wait for this draft.

Yea, we really need to come out of this draft feeling more confident about our oline and pass rush. Ideally, it would be nice to find a starting caliber corner too, but filling all of these needs may be a pipe dream.

A corner would be nice, but I'm good addressing that at a later time honestly. However, if we can get a second some how, grab someone like Erik McCoy, and use one of the thirds on a corner would be a great haul...

It sucks not having a second round pick.
