I knew that CMC's cap hit this season was minimal, but I didn't realize that he has no more guaranteed $ owed to him beyond this year. Which means he will probably be pretty receptive to restructuring.
As mentioned previously, the future cap implications of this trade are being over-rated. Not only will Jimmy's departure free up a large chunk of cap, but the cap itself is expected to balloon significantly (upwards of $20 mil). This along with Christian likely headed towards a restructure, makes the cap implications of this trade all but a non-factor.

I have a lot of faith in Paraag Marathe; he is a genius with the calculator and working to get the most out of our cap.

After watching CMC destroy the Rams, it became apparent to me that 1) when healthy, he is a dominant offensive weapon and 2) if used as much as he was yesterday, it is not surprising that he has been hurt so much in his career. He takes a lot of hits because he touches the ball so much in both the running and passing games.
