Rivera to wear No. 42

Just thought i'd let people know that Mariano Rivera will be wearing No. 42 April 15th in honor of Jackie Robinson day.

it was a grandfather clause, in 97 3 people were still wearing it when the number was retired, rivera, mo vaughn and some no name.

and he hasnt given up wearing it.

I don't see why he should. I don't know what his reason for the number is but if he was given a specific clause to allow him to wear the number, he's not being disrespectful by continuing to wear it.
