My Hope:

1. Brian Murphy on a tradeback including a 2nd
2. Cooper Beebe
3. Junior Colson
4. Beau Brade S
4. Theo Johnson TE

My wild guess:

1. Trade back to late round for 2nd Penix
2. Junior Colson
3. T'vondre Sweat or Jenkins or Braden Fiske
4. Brandon Coleman G TCU or Puni G
4. James Williams S/LB or Malik Mustapha S

There's a lot of buzz that Murphy will be taken within the first 15 picks. Rumor that Chicago could take him at 9.

Same deal with Penix. I would be moderately shocked if he lasted to 16.

Danny Darko wrote:Guys I'm scared we do draft and then start immediately justifying:

Cooper Dejean
Spencer Rattler
Ty'Ron Hopper lb
Adisa Isaac and Braylen Trice Edge
Jaheim Bell
Any CB in the top 2 rounds

I don't like Rattler either. He's a career backup/journeyman in my mind. I would hate the pick.

There's a ton of buzz around Cooper. But I wouldn't love it. This draft has so many quality OL/DL prospects. They have to continue to get stronger in the trenches to be a more physical team & not get pushed around. It's been their biggest downfall for a few years now.

Spending more premium picks on Safeties is not the way to go.

OL, DL & LB should be their primary focus.

This guy is plugged in & has fairly reliable sources.

There has been recent buzz about the Seahawks taking Iowa cornerback/safety Cooper DeJean with the 16th-overall pick. For a long time, the consensus projection has been Seattle addressing needs on their offensive line. After landing two superb young cornerbacks in Devon Witherspoon and Riq Woolen in back-to-back drafts during the past two years, it does not seem like adding a nickel corner/safety like DeJean would be a top priority. However, Seattle general manager John Schneider loves to draft for the secondary and head coach Mike Macdonald comes from the Ravens organization, which invests heavily in defensive backs in the early rounds of drafts. Sources said DeJean could be a possibility for the Seahawks, especially if they trade down, and the Seahawks also really like Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. Seattle is a mysterious team, and it sounds like the offensive line is definitely a likely spot for the organization’s first-round pick, but DeJean and Mitchell are candidates as well.

Fwiw, I really like Mitchell as a prospect. I have him ranked 13th on my list of guys.

But I don't love the idea of taking a Safety/Nickle in DeJean with the talent that will be available in other areas.
