This year I've been watching all the rookies I was mocking to us and around us a bit closer. So Rookie thoughts:

Best Rookies so far:

1. CJ Stroud - 4th most yards by a rookie QB ever into the 3rd week and he's keeping it up in the 3rd with another nice performance. Cactus called it.
2. Jalen Carter- technically the highest rated rookie in PFF with a 91 pretty much only doing something stupid or catastrophic injury would make me not regret that decision.
3. Jack Campbell ... for a guy labeled old school version of a big linebacker all he seems to do is make tackles and be in the right spots.
4. Bijan Robinson- 172 combined yards last week and looks like a screen pass nightmare for other teams
5. Puka Nacua- looks like the steal of the draft as a 5th rounder as we saw up close

Biggest nothing burgers:
1. Lukas Van Ness- glad we didn't get him at 20 and GB moved on him early
2. Quentin Johnson- JSN was a steal. Johnson likely still has some ability to make a dent down the road.
3. Bryan Bresee- Cactus didn't like this guy as much as I did and he has 3 tackles... which being a DT seems hard to do.

Our rookies have been largely hurt so we'll see and today will be a good look at Witherspoon as he starts at Left Corner. I feel like we should be more run heavy than we have been in general and I'd like to see more Charbonnet on third and short.

Good: Gonzalez has looked great so far. I really liked both he & Spoon. So, I would've been happy with either one.

Bad: Tyree Wilson has not looked good at all. Raiders fans are already complaining that he's a bust. lol

I actually cooled on Wilson the closer the draft got. He was a guy I was hoping they would pass on. I wanted Anderson. But was also somewhat relieved when they took Spoon over Wilson.
