Yes, they were up big and Phoenix made a run but, no Harden, no Kawhi on the road, good win.

And this is a Suns team with all their main guys available.

Refs did their best to help the Suns as well while swallowing the whistle when it came to the Clippers.

This game tells us more about phx than us tbh. Just need to see Kawhi.

More than focus it's the fact that the Suns can score on you real quick. They have good firepower. In the NBA no lead is safe.

FACT. Anybody can score on you real quick. This is why you can never "play the kids" until the other coach puts his in.

Tactics vs strategy. Win the battle or win the war? B2B tomorrow at The Crypt.

Sometimes you have to retreat from a losing battle to win the war later. Vogel doesn't know whether to spit or go blind. But the Suns need every game. Clippers need just any game of the next 4 to clinch the #4 seed, and have little hope of the #3.

I don't know what I'd do if I'm Vogel, down by 30+ at halftime. If I'm Ty, I keep doing what we're doing, including leaving PG in until Vogel waves the white flag and takes Durant out, who looks totally shellshocked. :o

Vogel went all in. So did Ty. These were playoff minutes in a laugher. Neither coach played it like a laugher:

KD--40 min
Booker--40 min
Beal--39 min

Russ--40 min
PG--39 min
Mann--38 min

Coffey--34 min
Zu--28 min

And doing it again TOMORROW NIGHT in LA

This kind of move reeks of disrespect too. It's the kind of mentality that just invites bad things to happen. The kind of mentality that breeds lasiez faire attitudes and laughs off 21 turnovers like they are nothing. Problem is once you take your foot off the gas and exhale, it is really hard to turn it back on. The game is not over until the other waives the white flag.

I was just saying no lead is safe in the NBA

And you were proven right. That's why you can't just "put the kids in" until the other coach does. After trailing by 30, the Suns got within 7 with 6 minutes to go.

I’m surprised he didn’t call it a night at halftime, and get rested for tonight.

We still have Harden and Kawhi resting. PG was on the high side but the other guys are young.

I know it's taking a chance but I'd rest all the stars tonight since it's a b2b. No need to chance them getting injured so close to the post season

It would be nice to give PG a night off for sure, and if Kawhi and James are still more or less recovering then better not to chance them either. We give up a game, but we earned the right after holding them off last night. We'd only need 1 more (if that) against 2 easy games next.

From the wiretap:

Suns guard Devin Booker said his team wasn't ready to play, while the Clippers were.

“[They] just came in there ready to play, and we weren’t," Booker said before saying Phoenix is "Chillin'" as far as being frustrated as a team.

How bad do you have to be to let the Clippers jump on you in the first quarter?

Suns need every win they can get, that loss put them at 7th. Everyone who can wants to avoid the play in.

Blown lead but still a really good win. Its crazy that we held them to 4 points in the 1st quarter with the refs gifting them 6 free throws to get them to 10 points. I knew they were going to make a run, but no way did I think they would cut it to under ten. I didn't understand the small ball at the end but it worked out. Not sure about Kawhi but its good to see Zu, Mann, and Coffey stepping up to help PG and Russ. I'm sure everyone is sitting for tonight's game
