They also own the 27th pick in the upcoming draft.

Has anyone here done a deep dive on some of the prospects coming out?

There are no QB's I like coming out of this class so I'm looking at other areas of need. DT, LB, CB, OL and another damn RB. Elliott has to go unless you guys still thinks he's worth 24 mill a year. And more depth would be nice.

I'm sure that's coming... but I'm also not real interested in giving up the 27th pick of the draft for Sean Payton. This team is in the process of needing to replace some key positional players (LG; C; RB; WR; DT; CB, etc.) Can quibble about who gets drafted where but Will McClay has done a pretty damn good job overall of identifying players for this team in the draft.

I haven’t yet. We really need to wait for the Senior Bowl and for the combine. There are always a couple of QB’s that shoot up the board by then which should push a couple of good players down to us.

I really don't believe Payton will come to Dallas. Jerry won't give the Power needed for Sean Payton to do his thing. And I'm like Otis, I don't want to give up a first round pick.

Zeke on record saying he wants to resign with the Cowboys for less money. I say let him walk and show him the door.

I wonder how bad Pollard's bone break is. It requires surgery. I wonder if he is damaged goods now.

Zeke is past his prime but he was a solid compliment. I like that he wants to stay on the roster. If the pay cut is big enough, might be worth it to keep him around. It would save us from having to waste a draft pick on RB and instead draft a more needy area.

He’s Jerry’s boy. He’s not going anywhere. I agree that he should be gone but I just don’t think it’s going to happen.

To me Malik Davis reminds me of what Pollard was in his rookie season. I’d like to see the Cowboys draft a workhorse type RB in the middle rounds and pair him with Davis. They could also still franchise Pollard and bring him back for 1 more year.

There are two awesome RB's in the draft this year. As a matter of fact this year's draft is really deep in RB's. Kansas State and Texas had RB's that stood out to me.

I think it's too difficult to gauge what to do at RB unless we know the severity of Pollard's injury.

I Pollard is 100%, make him the workhorse, redo Zeke's contract and give him a lesser role. Draft picked saved.

If Pollard is questionable we have to draft a RB no way around it.

I don't think Jerry has any real attachment to Zeke. It's all a front. Dez was "Jerry's boy" too. Amari was Jerry's prized trade. Business comes first for Jerry, I think he'll cut anyone if he needs to.

On just basing that on what’s being said and how much Jerry loves the guy. He’ll be back in some way shape or form, for A LOT less money.

Of the UFA’s the guys they must resign are McGovern, LVE, and Wilson.

Of the RFA’s it’s a must they resign Steele. Do that and overall their OL is really young and really good!

I might add A. Brown to that list. The drop off from him to fill in the blank was pretty significant when he went down. Beyond that, you & I are in agreement on those others.

Exactly. You do that by paying Pollard and then drafting o-line instead of wasting it on another RB.

I don't want to pay him anything huge, but Pollard does bring a game changing element that is definitely worth something. If his injury took that away (like Gallup) then I don't want him at all.

Speaking of Gallup, he needs to go. He just isn't the playmaker he used to be at all.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
