This team is at the moment playing just as well as the top teams. Thus i believe we have the ability to sweep the last few games ...

We are at 44-33.
We play cavs, Timberwolves, and gsw at home.
Grizzlies and pelicans away to finish off the season.

Now looking at the current teams ahead of us:


5 Dallas 46-30, plays Miami, gsw, rockets, and thunder. I think we have the tiebreaker with them if we match their regular season record. Unlikely here because of how Dallas plays great under pressure, but still a possibility to note of.

6 Phoenix 45-31, toughest schedule. They play Timberwolves twice, clippers twice, pelicans, and the kings. They're treading well and stable team at the moment but I can see them dropping 2 games to match us (again, if we sweep the remaining games) and we have tiebreaker with them.

7 pelicans 45-31, they have a tough schedule relatively, remaining. And have not been playing their best and hurtling down the seeding.
I can see them losing to the suns, kings, warriors. We have a game against them too.

8 Sacramento 44-32. Celtics, pelicans, thunder, suns. We need to have a better reg season record outright against them.



There will be 3 losses added automatically to the 6th-8th seed teams because of their games against each other:
Sac pelicans
Pelicans suns
Suns sac
So this helps us.


Can we pull this off?

Sacramento, pelicans, and gsw all lost tonite.
We have same record as sac now. Gsw is now 2 games behind us.

So far, everything shaping up well, Lakers staying on par.
Beat cavs today.

Now we got to just win wolves and gsw at home. Memphis and pelicans end of next week should be relatively easy.

Once we possibly end with a 49-33 record,
we just sit back and cross our fingers the rest falls into place favorably for us.

So there's a chance? I've been sayin it from the beginning. But wow, we playin with Razor thin margins.

We have to win Sunday's game against wolves. If we do, this would most likely move the wolves into 2nd seed permanently and Denver will be 1seed unfortunately. (I dont want to hand that team the 1seed if I could help it)

It looks all down hill for the remaining regular season;
I'm sure we can win the remaining games against gsw Memphis pelicans.
So if we win out our remaining four games:

That will give us the 8th seed play-in spot. Absolute worst case.

Sacramento loses one more game? This will give us the 7th seed vs Sacramento 8th seed for play-in against them.
..
Pho loses 2 games? That will move up Sacramento into 6th and put us into play-in with Phoenix.

Both Phoenix and Sacramento loses 2 and 1 games respectively? We will be 6th seed.
..
Highly unlikely, but if Dallas loses 3 games on top of everything else going on above, we will be 5th seed against clippers.
I actually prefer 6th seed than this scenario though.

This team has to believe it is a top 2 seed team. I believe it.

With this team I have waaay more confidence in a series rather than a single gamer. That's why we need full concentration and focus. If we can make it in a favorable spot and position, we can make final 4. Right now without AD and Bron, this game belongs to Minnesota. But we headin down to the wire for sure

We have to beat pelicans in the last game.

Naz is the perfect pf... Guy is shooting lights out from the three, can rebound, and is tough.

What are the chances we let go ham after this season we lose in the play in. I rather have the team coach themselves in committee than have ham at the helm.

How convenient on the very two most important games of April lebron and AD go kawhi Leonard and now we're fighting for 9/10 f this coach and season

Lakers had the 6th in hand and for giving away the game with Wolves, then playing with GSW who if they have the day they will score 25 threes no matter what you do... now the most likely is 9-10 playin....sadly

I will never understand management in nba, i mean lakers have won the game with cavs and lebron&davis stayed in the court the most 4 quarter..if you had a b2b game and you are winning the 1st just rest more and I don't believe that Lebron can't play even walking (more than usually) the second game..just rest in defense and play with iq and without drive vs gobert

Same with warriors the match over and lebron stayed until 2min in the court, the longer you are on the court, more likely you are to get injured.
and no words for davis not playing for a hit, for him the easiest game playing with smaller players and no contacts..

You give up for b2b and now you must play two more games in season to reach playoff..logic

I don't think James and AD sat intentionally. They played most of the season.

That hit by Kyle Anderson cost the Lakers 2 games probably. Not say they must have won both if AD was not injured. They will have a much better chance in both games.

No matter what, I don't think the Lakers can win it all this season. Reaves regressed quite a lot from last playoff, Dlo disappeared in big games. Vando injured. Gabe is rusty. No competent back up big to AD and most importantly, they have Ham as the coach.

Fire Ham after losing in the playoff this season, please. If not of him, they would not have struggle in the standing this late in the season,

Massive loss vs Warriors last night. That AD illness couldn't have come at a worse time.

Have to win the last 2 and get some help. At this point, we probably have to cheer for the Warriors and hope for Sacramento and New Orleans to lose.

AD got elbowed in the same eye three times in a row. He’d be stupid not to sit after that last strike by Anderson.

Hopefully this was ham's last game at staples.
