Of course. I'd rather have the guy who's had four very good consecutive seasons up until last year versus the guy who's had one good season in his entire career.
It were an 82 game season, he would've actually had a decent year.
I agree the contract is pretty bad, when you look at what Clarkson brings to the table, but it was a fair deal cap wise, considering what everyone else got. The term is awful.
