Bucks get anxious and call the Pelicans

Disclaimer: I KNOW BUCKS PROBABLY WON'T TRADE LILLARD, would be a bad look I'd guess and Middleton showed that he still has in him enough to help carry if Giannis and Lillard are healthy.
That being said:
Lillard for CJ + Herb Jones
Bucks try to maneauver after accepting they can't win with little depth considering their supporting cast and health of their starts.
Pelicans try to add Star power to compensate Ingram bad performance on the playoffs.
Bucks:
CJ/Beverly?/Aj Green
Herb/Malik Beasley/Marjon
Middleton/Pat
Giannis/Portis
Lopez
Pelicans:
Lillard/Alvarado
Ingram/Hawkins
Trey Murphy/Dyson?
Zion/Naji
Larry Nance?/Fa?
Who says no?

Bucks say no, Herb isn't enough to make up the difference, you'd need to add Bucks 27 1st, and 26 swap rights, Bucks 25 1st 1-4.
This gives the Bucks a fallback plan if they decide to blow it up next year.

In your scenario the Bucks are making the call so why would they say no.

I actually lol'd at Milwaukee downgrading to McCollum for Herb Jones.

Both teams say no. The Pels best player is 23 and they trade their best defender for a dude who is what 10 years older than him.
And Dame’s ceiling is higher that CJ so even with the addition of Herb this doesn’t make sense.

Curious, but if Trey Murphy was in the deal instead of Herb what are thoughts then? Like the idea of Bucks getting at least their swaps and a first back too.

It’s an even stronger no for the Pels. Dame isn’t on Zion’s timeline. And frankly we aren’t one piece away from being put over the top.
