The problem with looking at one player and trying to predict their longevity at the end is personal bias. It's more likely that Jimmy will follow the same general trajectory as 99% of players rather than that of Lebron. It just is. First of all Jimmy is not now nor has he ever been Lebron. He was never as good, he was never that kind of genetic freak, he doesn't appear to have the same sort of (alleged) pharma connections, and he historically hasn't been as durable as Lebron.
Lebron is Lebron. One of the all-time greats and an outlier in comparison to pretty much everyone.
And frankly if you look at Lebron's stats, age 34 hit him too. If you look at games played, minutes played, and total points, there's a very noticeable before and after effect.
I've been pretty consistent for years now with this so we'll see, me and you were arguing about this almost 2 1/2 years ago. We'll probably be talking about it next year and beyond unless there's a major injury.
