In the end I believe the 6 season starting rookies did us in when it became playoff time... it simply put was a great season that ended too soon.
Half - full: this will benefit us next year!
What are our core needs?

Re: NHL DRAFT (Hawks pick 23rd) / Offseason Thread
Not sure anyone has noticed but the Blackhawks are killing it already this off-season !
Just signed a 22-year-old highly experienced c-republic wing David Kampf... he he Florida between the second and third lines and was highly productive at a young age... there is little doubt he will figure heavily into her third and fourth lines immediately ...
Another guy that will be heavily featured on those lines is OHL player of the year Alex Debrincat whom unbelievably averaged more than two points a game this year .
We haven't even reached the draft and our roster already has two highly skilled players added to our depth...
And while the season was a letdown clearly the predators are riding a very hot streak with a great goaltending and excellent defense it enables guys like Hossa toews Keith and seabs some much-needed time off

Also, darling whom we were going to lose gets his rights traded to Carolina for a 3rd round pick!!!!
He was 4th in Save % at .924 and he got 4:16.6
That's 4.125 which is huge money : Carolina has over 10 million committed to 3 guys now wow
We got back the oduya pick basically

Kinda looks like Marcus Kruger will receive naked status in the expansion draft... is this true of TvR as well or would we risk Hjalmer????

I think the Knights will have a decent roster to begin with... I see the draft as exactly 6 heavy which is what they pick...
1. Nolan Patrick
2. Nico
3. Vilardi
4. Cody Glass
5. Mittlestadt
6. Tippett
--///////---- drop in talent
7. Vesalainen
8. Miro
9. Tolvanen
10. Liljigren
At least that's the way I see the top 10... nico gets all this Kane love but I don't know pretty hard to replicate that puck handling right away with top 4 NHL dmen on ya

Supposedly we have some sort of deal in place with Vegas where we will trade them one of Kruger or TVR, and then Vegas will pick the other in the draft. Basically means we're dumping both Kruger and TVR for picks and cap space.

I get the Sid booes but why the Hawks????
Also was like 50-60 feet from Sofia Vergara and didn't realize how much work was in that face
Also you can really tell watching the players section how much they respect McDavid --- a lot of them would go up to him at commercial breaks and chat and shake hands

The Knights roster is pretty solid.... they went young on scoring and Vet on D --- really really surprised they passed on Petr Mzraek!!!! He had 4 straight great years and 1 down one on a bad team with no blue liners - they wanted Pickard instead
