The Colorado Avalanche have signed Ryan Smyth to a five-year deal worth $31.25 million.

Great signing for the Avs!! would have preferred Drury, just because of his history here, but Smyth is a great 2nd choice. Also, the addition of Hannan should help out our defense a lot. Great FA signing day for the Avs (thanks to Captain Joe)!!
