Grigorenko signs 1-year deal - Red Wings general manager Ken Holland announced that the team has signed right wing Igor Grigorenko to a one-year entry-level contract. In keeping with club policy, specific terms of the deal are not available.

Grigorenko, 24, was selected by the Red Wings in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the 2006-07 season playing in Russia's top professional league with Tolyatti Lada, where he tallied 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points in 49

Good, im a big Grigorenko fan and believe he is pretty highly touted in the system. I expect him to make a run at the club next year

I'm glad to see Igor has signed. I was starting to wonder if we would ever see him in a Wings jersey.
