However, I am VERY disappointed that the Kings decided to send 2003 first-round pick Brian Boyle back down to Manchester's AHL squad. I just caught an interview of Dean Lombardi at the NHL GM meetings in Florida, and he basically stated that while he was pleased with Boyle's play, Dean doesn't think Boyle has what it takes to contribute to a "winning" team in the NHL, just yet. His comments give credence to my earlier comments that the front office will keep some of the youngsters down in the AHL, just to shelter them from the culture of losing that is prevelant during hockey games at Staples Center this year.

So, in the meantime, let's get fired up for projected #1 draft pick, Steve Stamkos, joining the Kings next year!!!!
