1-1 after the first. Seems to me that Price is looking a little shaky, not to mention O'Byrne. If it wasn't for Komi it would be 1-0 for us right now. Ah well, we've got to come out stronger the next two periods or else we start the season 0-1.

Well a much better 2nd period from the Habs, but nothing on the board from either team that period. Still 1-1 with the 3rd coming up! Price looked better, as did O'Byrne. Lang is looking like a really solid pickup for us right now.

WHAT an overtime period! And at the end the good friends Koivu and Rivet going at it in front of the net with Koivu throwing a body check at him at the end of the period! WOW! Man I love this game!! Haha. Miller kept his team in the game in OT. Off to shootout we go!!

And Price gets owned in the Shootout... schooled twice by the same move on BLOCKER side. Not the glove side that everyone says is weak.

Ah well, we got ourselves a point and what a game! Without that colossal mistake by O'Byrne in the 1st period, we win this game 1-0. Ah well, you win some you lose some, and this was an excellent game all around tonight to watch.

I can't feel too bad about this game. Price is usually very string in SO's. The HAbs have now started 4 straight years with 3 games on the road. Getting a point in another team's home opener is never easy let alone against a pretty decent team like Buffalo. I thik we'll come out big against TO. 4-0 Habs with the Bros K doing a lot of the damage.
