I’m reading the first year is the 23 mil and doesn’t go over 25 mil until year 3 when Gobert will already be off the books. Essentially just need to pay the tax for 2 years, or 1 if you want to deal Rudy as an expiring in summer 2025.

Good information. Thanks. No team or player option on any of the years?

Was recording a chat w/ owner Glen Taylor when he dropped that deal would be done by today’s deadline. Mentioned how they got Jaden side to come down. That being said, seems like a very fair deal, especially after Vassell signed. Glen mentioned Vassell deal was a factor. #Twolves

Interesting that Vassell's deal was a factor in Jaden's deal getting done.

If Vassell's deal was a factor than Jaden's deal should have unlikely to be met incentives. Good news. 8-)

If he ends up being only 17 or 18% of the salary cap, its a huge win for us.

Reported no team or player options, 5 mil of it would be bonuses.

Assuming it's 5 million total of "highly motivated" incentives, It's 1m less each year, starting at 22m. That is right where we think he lands (20-25), that is good for both sides

You have a right to that opinion. I have a right to think the same about yours.

Thanks. I was hoping it would be $2 million a year or more of unlikely incentives. Can you share a link with this information?

Or one year over the cap, give Gobert a 4 year extension with 1/2 the money so he doesn't exercise his player option year. The big question now is will Ant get a max or supermax? That will determine how much we have left over for Conley and who do we keep between Brown and/or Milton.

Maybe this is wishful thinking, but if we are successful next season, and Mike Conley stays for less money to be longterm, I wonder if that would encourage Gobert to do the same?

I also have to admit I under-estimated the Trade Board. Most don’t have a problem with the contract.

I certainly think it's possible on both accounts.

The General board, on the other hand...
