I agreed with what @mcpharris36 asked you (and you never answered) about your statement the page before on Nabors.
Nabors is one of the best and most explosive receivers to come out in 10 years.
And now you post stg w him questioning who our QB might be (which I agree with LOL).

But you come across as not the sharpest tool in the shed here. Nabors would be the #1 receiver in most drafts.

Rough day?

I'm pretty happy, we addressed the need for an elite playmaker at WR, and locked in S and CB.

So I guess we need to go RB, DL, G from here

Passer rating when targeted in man coverage (lower number is better):

I'm legit excited for this Jarrian Jones guy, dude looks like a legit slot CB, something we haven't had since Aaron Colvin.

Do you think Nabers is a as good as Ja’Marr Chase or Jaylen Waddle who were taken #5 and #6 overall?
Is he a pro bowl type talent?
Is he a legit #1 receiver?
Is he a red zone target where PFF ranked him as the 20th best receiver in the red zone with only a 47% catch rate?https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2024-nfl-draft-highest-graded-red-zone-receivers-past-two-seasons

For me, the answer is no to all of these questions. He is not worthy of being picked #6 overall in a draft.

The Giants have no size at receiver whatsoever. They were second to last in the red zone last year and Nabers does nothing for that.

He’s the product of a good QB with a good OL who rarely got pressured and had plenty of time in the pocket to get some deep balls.

If it weren’t for Chase and Jefferson coming out with huge success, he would not be drafted this high.

Nabers looks like a legit #1, pro bowl talent. He’s basically the same size as Chase. He looks like he’s in the same mold as Chase/Lamb. Giants could still use a TE or bigger target to compliment. Of course even more than that we still need better QB play. #1 wr was still a big need too and they seemed to fill that. Nabers should help the entire offense in time

I like Nubin too. He was banged up so that may have affected his combine scores. On tape he looks fine and love the way he breaks on balls. Love the draft day call too.

I heard the giants had him in for a private workout as well. Maybe he went through some additional tests and the giants were comfortable picking him even with his bad combine scores.

I watched some of his tape and he doesn't look slow on the film. His diagnosing plays and instincts are off the chart but I also see him flying to the back field to make tackles as well. Doesn't come across as slow on the tape.

so the knee surgery right after the season explains the poor RAS. i'm comfortable as long as the medicals all check out.

i'm reading a lot of the draft analysis and they current say that his athleticism is a weak point. if those reports were written up before the combine, i'm a little concerned, if after i'm not worried. we'll see.

i do agree that S don't need elite athletic tools, but there's just a minimum level of athleticism required to play at a high level and his combine numbers weren't it

He is one of those guys who has great instincts and just makes plays. Think he’ll be at least solid that we can plug in for the next few years. He is still not the fastest guy on the field, but would agree that instincts are way more important as a safety and he should be fine

Turnovers change games and we seem to now have a guy in Nubin who has a knack for getting his hands on INTs. And Phillips looks like the type of physical CB I love. We'll see.

Interested to see if we draft a QB today or we go into next season with Jones, Lock and DeVito. I'd like to add a DT, RB and TE if possible.

Waller is going to retire so we need to absolutely add a TE for depth.

I prefer going into next season with what we have at QB unless Schoen sees a developmental piece. Otherwise, DT, RB, TE should be on the menu.

Jones, Lock and Tommy will steer us towards another top 10 pick, which we need desperately

Taking age into consideration I think Nabers (20) can be bit better than those two. I think Ja’Marr Chase or Jaylen Waddle were 21 and 22 years old when drafted. Regardless of age, YES, Nabors is at that level but none of us know if he will achieve what those guys have. Athletically Chase ran a 4.38 40 and Nabers 4.35 but Nabers might be more explosive

Pro Bowl Talent – Well, I’d say he can be a top 10, maybe 5 receiver. He still has so much upside from here as he is really young so a part of talking about him is unknown/forecasting. He can be like a more muscular Hill, yeah, said it. Let this kid fill out and with his acceleration and athleticism (and hands), scary. He has a great chance to be special.

Legit #1 – Come on, of course he is, as was the receiver taken before him and probably the one taken just after. This class is deep as we all know. Many have MHJ ranked just behind Nabers. At least both are in the discussion as being #1 this year in a DEEP draft..

You seem to be sbout the only one here that is down on him. And when I search online, the reviews and opinions of him are like 99% positive. The guy can be like OBJ and then some. Not being sarcastic, but what do you possess that is better than all the experts out there saying he can be GREAT?

My only worry about Nabors is that he doesn’t become too Diva’ish, which is often a problem with star receivers.

Fair evaluation of upside and downside, not saying pro bowl or like

Former WR who is an above average blocker and an elite athlete.

Not much to complain about.

Waller type replacement. Can block a bit but also be used in the RPO game in the seem as a big vertical target...and should be a nice redzone threat.
