How?

HIF disagreed with my assertion the aim in sports is to win at the highest level.

I will wait for you to show me multiple examples of players who would rather play in lesser leagues. And yes, I say multiple because there are always outliers.

And no, I won't. I don't engage in propping up strawman.

Going from Martin Tyler to Peter Drury is like upgrading a Soviet Lada to a Lamborghini. Best thing Sky has done since sacking Richard Keys.

Absolute rocket by Ramsey.
Shame it's in a loss.

No shame about it at all. any other result would have been a crime. Great goal though - as was the first by academy lad Wanya Marcal.

4/4 - only 7 teams have ever started a season 4/4 in the championship.
Top of the league

Leicester are flying, along with Norwich who are scoring for fun.

Hard to see past them for promotion, but it's a long season.

We're doing well but we've played teams not expected to challenge. Next up Hull and Both Southampton & Norwich away. That'll give us a better indication of what we still need to do.

Need to offload a few players still : Daka, Souttar, Soumaré, Ward, Iversen and VK

Need a good CB, mid and striker in.

I was surprised that you guys weren’t in for Cam Archer and Aaron Ramsey from us

We could sign that Man city youngster, the double barrelled one who plays CB but they don't want to pay the wages. He'd be a game changer for us.

Good results for your boys today with West Brom smashing Preston and Ipswich being held to a draw by Huddersfield.

Early signs look promising, but of course it's a long season.

We've been playing some lovely football and we are where we deserve to be. Coady is now back from injury but sadly Doyle is out for at least 4 months.

The championship is a tough league as can be seen by Southampton and Leeds starts to the season but teams also make quite a few mistakes and so quality should win through.

This afternoon we're away to Blackburn and any result puts us back on top of the league. I feel as confident as I can be that we can continue our 100% away record and open a little gap over Ipswich and Preston.

btw winks is playing great, all of our summer signings are playing great but the young academy lad Jason McAteer is outperforming everyone.

Filling in for HIF, nice winner from Winks yesterday. Now 14pts clear of Leeds in 3rd.

Leeds have clawed their way back into the automatic promotion spots, though Leicester have a game in hand in 3rd (1 pt off Leeds, 2 pts off Ipswich).

Really interesting end coming, with promotion and relegation (as always).

Leicester have really dropped off over the last month+. Leeds have been on a charge and Southampton were unlucky not to at least get a point today against Ipswich.

Birmingham got a win to give them a boost in the relegation battle...unfortunately

Really interesting climax to the season. While I think they would be the best team in the playoffs should they start as the table is today, dropping into the playoff spots would be a bit of a disaster for Leicester given how dominant their position was. Mentally that has to sting. They did dispatch Norwich quite comfortably yesterday, though.

3-4 weeks later, Leicester turned their form around and have been promoted. Now it's a case of whether Leeds or Ipswich will join them in the automatic spots, looks like it will be Ipswich after Leeds got battered by QPR today, but we'll see.
