PK's are a terrible way to settle ties. I absolutely hate it. It's like shooting free throws to break ties in basketball. They should just play till someone scores, allowing more subs and such.

I see your point, but the alternatives are worse:

(1) Replay the game
(2) Extra OT (you saw how finished all players were after the 100. minute)
(3) Do a coin flip (YES, THIS RULE EXISTED!!)

PKs are a cruel but very handy way to determine a winner.
